You guys are a good group. Have been impressed and laughing for the last two days. Let me give you my best semi-educated guess on this rumor.

 

Twins want De Leon and one of Bellinger/Alvarez

 

The Dodgers are offering De Leon, Stewart/Calhoun etc.

 

That is the reason for the delay.

 

If the Dodgers were offering De Leon and one of Bellinger/Alvarez then the Twins would have said hell yeah and completed the deal quickly. I like Dozier and think we might be seeing a Murphy-like breakout but Dodgers like Solarte and Forsythe too.

 

Dodgers have big plans for Bellinger as early as mid year if he continues to hit and are not trading him for 2 years of Dozier..  Not giving up Bellinger for Dozier. No way.

 

I think it would be doubtful they include Alvarez either. He might be special and you don't just throw him into a deal like this one.

 

I'm not arguing that the Twins don't deserve to have nice things I'm just telling you the Dodgers are very high on Bellinger for this year and next. Plus they don't know entirely what they have with Alvarez but it might be sky high.

I kind of assumed a deal could be built around De Leon and Lux forever, thinking that Alvarez and Bellinger were off limits. Still want to see something happen. Absolutely will be fun to have something happen

I'm listening to Dodger Talk right now, nothing new, saying Twins holding up possible deal.  Focus of show is if Dodgers can only resign Kenley Jansen or Justin Turner who would you sign-can call 866 987-2570 with you're vote.  Side note Jansen getting married this weekend in Caracao, and Justin Turner in attendance.

Once we eclipse 990 someone is just going to be a *#^$ and post a ten word sentence in single word posts for the honor.

 

Not that I'm patiently waiting for another 5 posts or so or anything.....
