The Cubs will start resting more and more players, if they haven't done so already. They'll still win their fair share of games.

The Twins may not win a game the rest of the year... I'm going Twins losses.

The Cubs bench and expanded roster is chock full of decent-to-very good MLB potential... they have an embarrassment of depth riches. Gotta go with Cubs wins over Twins losses (only the White Sox series to close the season gives the Twins much hope of a couple of wins).

I am not sure, but I remember last year that there was an ongoing thread of who did the better rebuilding job between the Twins, Astros, and Cubs. There were a lot of people claiming the Twins and I thought it was absurd even at the end of last May.

It just seems comical now.

As great as the Cubs are, they have still been playing at an unsustainable tick lately.  I believe they are the best team in baseball right now, mind you.

If the Twins losses don't match the Cubs wins, it will be damn close.

Cubs have played .600 ball the last 10 games and are 11-8 this month.  Those blocks of time are actually below their season winning %.  Cubs are every bit as good as their record says.  No weaknesses and only one losing month.

I opened this thread expecting a very lowest-common-denominator punch line from any of several likely culprits including myself (I sometimes sleepwalk).

Are there enough excuses / natural disasters left in the book to cancel all remaining games so we stay at 96 losses?

- Uniforms lost at baggage claim
- Charter jet went to wrong city

- Equipment manager went on strike, took everyone's glove.

- ?

Maybe sweatpants and no gloves would be an upgrade. It can't be much worse.
