Current TV, regardless the year

Not that I want to squelch this discussion, but before it goes too far down the political, racist, sleep aid discussion, it might be best to jump it to one of the other threads. But yeah, concur with all that’s been said on the subject.

Good point.

We are probably going to go into The Americans next, though Battlestar is also possible.

So season two of Legion starts out weirder than season one.  I like weird, but it might be getting too weird for me.

How did the season end?  Did it remain weird for the sake of being weird or would you recommend it?  I liked season 1, but two seasons of weirdness without a sign of a little more coherency might be a bit much.

Thanks- I think I might hold off.  I probably watch too much TV as it is, and cutting out 8 to 10 hours by not watching Legion might not be a bad thing.

Yeah, I'd skip season 2.  Terrible pacing, plotting, and an absolute mess of a narrative in the finale.

Best sci-fi show since BSG. Maybe even better.

It’s phemomenal.

Agreed.  It's a bit slow going at first; and the characters take a while for them to warm up to you.  But it's just excellent.  Great narrative direction, pacing, writing.  Complex characters.  Complex world that's believable and rich.   (I still like BSG better, even with its missteps in the final season).

Yeah.  I was let down.  It's like Lost but more convoluted and with less likable characters.

I feel like we have a wave of TV writing that is trying too hard to be clever.  The time jumping back and forth really hurt Westworld IMO.  A more straight line narrative this season would've been far better for all involved.

Definitely. They did their best to confuse us with different timelines, worlds, and who is or isn't a host. I guess William is a human that transitioned to being a host later on?

Very disappointed after they were gaining steam episodes 2-5 in season 2.

I was thinking that the scene with William indicated that the present story line was taking place further in the future than we realized.  As he looks like he just came back from blowing up his hand confronting Delores.   I'm just not sure I care any more about the show.  I thought BSG played out the worthwhile philosophical underpinnings of human v. robot/cylon/host; and Westworld confuses convolution for depth--the immortality for humans angle had potential, but it got buried in all the brutality and look-at-me cleverness.

Rewatching Band of Brothers for what is probably the 20th time but first in 5-6 years.

And it's still probably the greatest thing ever put on television. Even after all this time, it's simply magnificent.

I've got to be at 20 viewings+ as well.
