Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2016 Posted June 18, 2016 Oh goody, Dan San is batting in the #2 spot already. I had a feeling this would happen. One other thing... didn't Pineda have surgery on a torn labrum? I think he missed two seasons and he hasn't been himself since. This is what Perkins will have to go through...
GCTF Verified Member Posted June 18, 2016 Posted June 18, 2016 P. Ricky Nolasco ® La pitching machine du jour.
mickeymental Verified Member Posted June 18, 2016 Posted June 18, 2016 the twins seem to be in the peculiar position of having a bunch of prospects who are untouchable, yet not worth very much on the market.

Squirrel Community Moderator Posted June 18, 2016 Posted June 18, 2016 Game time is in 1 hour and 25 minutes, and seeing no game thread I'll volunteer to do a quick bare bones post. Thanks for the ad lib game thread. Just so you, and everyone else, knows ... it is truly appreciated, but give the one who volunteered a bit more time before assuming they are a 'no show' and jumping in. We all know how last-minute things can get in the way of getting something done, or they forgot it was a day game, but I'd wait until a 1/2 hr out before volunteering to help out. But, again, thanks!
Winston Smith Verified Member Posted June 18, 2016 Posted June 18, 2016 Mets are looking at Valencia, I'm guessing the market for Plouffe will be close to -1.
Mr. Brooks Verified Member Posted June 18, 2016 Posted June 18, 2016 Apparently Grossman doesn't get after it and/or battle his tail off like DanSan does.

Take a look in the game thread volunteers thread and then PM Chief with the dates you want!
mikecgrimes Verified Member Posted June 18, 2016 Posted June 18, 2016 Decided I'd give the start of the Twins game a chance today. Then I saw a commercial for a bat flip contest sponsered by MLB. Don't think I'll be watching the Twins today after seeing that crap.
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2016 Posted June 18, 2016 Mauer has my vote for the All Star game. Here's hoping he extends the on base streak to 29 games.
Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2016 Posted June 18, 2016 Watching a couple of classic Outer Limits episodes feels like perfect preparation for the game and the game thread.

Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2016 Posted June 18, 2016 Speaking of Grain Belt, I'm trying the Lock & Dam lager. Okay, not spectacular.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted June 18, 2016 Posted June 18, 2016 Speaking of Grain Belt, I'm trying the Lock & Dam lager. Okay, not spectacular.I'm reorganizing closets. Now that the new carpet is in, I can put things back and hopefully pare down even more.
Circus Boy Verified Member Posted June 18, 2016 Posted June 18, 2016 Don't know how or when it happened, but Ricky Nolasco is the only starter I have confidence in at this point. Subject to change, of course.

Platoon Verified Member Posted June 18, 2016 Posted June 18, 2016 So now Dick/Bert claim Ryan said that Sano is too valuable to put back in RF? WTF changed while he was on the DL? I know that D/B had glowing reports of batting practice the other day, but who knows, the wind could have been blowing out.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted June 18, 2016 Posted June 18, 2016 I must be in the Twilight Zone because the announcers on the MLB network were talking about Ron Davis, and what a good pitcher he was. I just don't remember that.
Platoon Verified Member Posted June 18, 2016 Posted June 18, 2016 What do Sano and Arcia have in common?
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted June 18, 2016 Posted June 18, 2016 It will be shoes.Heh, have computer, will shop. But this is the closet in my guest room, which I use as a storage closet.
FunnyPenguin Provisional Member Posted June 18, 2016 Posted June 18, 2016 Surprised Pineda even wasted that slider on Buxton, one more fastball would have done it easier.
