Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 With age comes wisdom! As a 26 year old, I absolutely agree "with age". I'm still waiting on the comes wisdom part.
spinowner Provisional Member Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 With age comes wisdom! How I wish that were actually true.

Squirrel Community Moderator Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 Go to as many games at Target Field as you can afford. Live major league baseball at a beautiful ballpark is one of the greatest things on earth, even if the home team comes up short.Well, living in Chicago, that leaves me out.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 How I wish that were actually true.Well, in your case ... Just couldn't resist the little sister jab.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 Slowly but surely we'll decrease the average age here. If each of us is getting older with every passing day ... including the ones you mentioned ... how do you expect to decrease the average age?
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 Well, I admit I've always liked this. That's actually one of my favorite arias. I especially like trying to fake sing it. (Hmm, might have to work it up for your next visit.)
Pardon My Dinger Verified Member Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 Hey I'll never tell anyone what to do with their money, it's a free country. But, we don't get to complain about the product and still give them money. This would be like going to McDonalds every day and complaining about the quality. And the Twins haven't cracked any code, because a lot of sports owners have a desire to win. The Pohlads have no interest whatsoever in winning.Well, I admire the heck outta ya. Enjoy the game threads. I'm going to be on the third base line every chance I get, because I'm sick with it.

Squirrel Community Moderator Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 Delete Chief's account... Sorry Chief. It was set up on a tee in my mind.Well, geez, delete Chief's account and you decrease the average age of the whole site by quite a lot, not just game threads.

spinowner Provisional Member Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 Well, living in Chicago, that leaves me out.I sympathize. One ballpark way overrated and one rated to be just as bad as it is.

Reider Verified Member Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 Not a fan of today's batting order. Plouffe is hurt/injured and batting ahead of players who have out performed him this year. I'd like to see Plouffe and Dozier moved down in the line up behind Sano and Park. If not both of them, Plouffe for sure. Nunez, Mauer, Park, Sano, and even Arcia (based on stats), should be ahead of Plouffe in the line up.
Bark's Lounge Verified Member Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 On a serious note: I do not think I was ever this disappointed in a Twins team. The expectations this year were high, but I expected they could take small step backwards or play status quo to what they did last year. I certainly did not expect them to be a shoe in for 90 wins or anything of that nature... that would be crazy. Since the start of Twins Daily 4+ years ago it seemed like everyone was in line expectation wise and the game threads we're a celebration of baseball and making a mockery of the Twins play and hoping for the future. I think last year took us by surprise a bit and it was fun for the most part, but I am so disgusted by how this season has started out, I don't even want to watch the games anymore. I can't find that void within myself to fill it and take a chance and invest my time. I am not a big expectation kind of guy, but this season has been sewage and has put my baseball passion into hibernation. I know some of the young players have failed and a fair amount of the veterans on this team have been a pile of cow manure, They have sent the young guys down, DFA'ed some of veterans, and have called up 4AAA ball players to take their place. It's a frickin' bummer. That's all I guess, I just needed to vent a little.

David HK Verified Member Posted May 11, 2016 Posted May 11, 2016 Molitor will never do this, but let's get crazy... 1) Mauer2) Sano3) Arcia4) Park5)Nunez6) Plouffe7) Dozier8) Santana9) SuzukiIt's getting so I'm in favor of anybody's lineup except the manager's. I say go for it!
spinowner Provisional Member Posted May 11, 2016 Posted May 11, 2016 Boy, that Molitor knows how to set up a batting order to get that first inning run, eh?
DocBauer Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2016 Posted May 11, 2016 Not a fan of the batting order, I just don't get it at all. If I had to guess, it's all about veterans being trusted, and not putting pressure on Sano and Park, which, imo, is silly at this point. Now see, except for moving Plouffe down to the 7 hole, I actually like this lineup. Though, to be hinest, I'm not even sure why Plouffe is playing. Only 2 GanMessenger to shake the rust off and they say he's still not 100% but is trying to play through it.

How about let him try to play through it in a lower-pressure spot? Every single day, whether it's lineup or game decisions, Molly does something that looks like he's just pulling stuff out of a hat. It's like he's actively trying not to care.
spinowner Provisional Member Posted May 11, 2016 Posted May 11, 2016 Well, I have to say I like Marney better than Kevin Gorg.
