Linus Verified Member Posted April 22, 2016 Posted April 22, 2016 Just tuned in and see that our friend Kyle has dug us a hole. He is quickly becoming one of the starters to be worried about.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2016 Author Posted April 22, 2016 Buxton could have used that dinger. Welcome to the Major Leagues Kid
Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted April 22, 2016 Posted April 22, 2016 Sano used his left hand which was in a glove to make that catch! That Sano is so athletic.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2016 Posted April 22, 2016 what's buxton have to do to get a homer. jeeze.

spinowner Provisional Member Posted April 22, 2016 Posted April 22, 2016 I also just tuned in. It's a beautiful spring evening. The lawn looks good. In April! Which means it needed to be mowed. In April! formerly33, Puckett34, Riverbrian and 1 other 4
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted April 22, 2016 Posted April 22, 2016 (edited) I did meet a guy (in his mid-sixties maybe) last fall who grew up in DC and it was fun that he grew up rooting for Killebrew and Allison etc. as Senators. Back when that wasn't a swear word, naturally. NATIONALS: Is that any for a team? Edited April 22, 2016 by ScrapTheNickname Riverbrian 1

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2016 Posted April 22, 2016 Every time I hear of Gio Gonzalez, I can't help but remember this horrendous game in twins infamy: http://www.retrosheet.org/boxesetc/2009/B07200OAK2009.htm ScrapTheNickname and glunn 2
Ultima Ratio Verified Member Posted April 23, 2016 Posted April 23, 2016 Get. the. ball. down. Gibson.
spinowner Provisional Member Posted April 23, 2016 Posted April 23, 2016 Wow, it seems like if often happens that a guy makes a great defensive play and then comes up second to bat in the next inning!
Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted April 23, 2016 Posted April 23, 2016 The over/under for runs in this game was 7.5. Given that Gibson is still pitching, I'm assuming Molitor must have bet heavily on the over. Riverbrian 1

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 23, 2016 Posted April 23, 2016 another 0-2 pitch RBI. Jose...jose jose jose!
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted April 23, 2016 Posted April 23, 2016 You can see the challenge for Miguel Sano in right field. Every batter that hits the ball down the line will be looking to take second base on Sano. Every base runnier will be looking to advance on him. Sano has got to gun a few guys down before they stop taking liberties.
Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted April 23, 2016 Posted April 23, 2016 what's buxton have to do to get a homer. jeeze. Either hit the ball over the fence and beyond the reach of any leaping outfielders, or complete a circuit of the bases before being tagged out on his batted ball. MindFreak Provisional Member Posted April 23, 2016 Posted April 23, 2016 First post on here, got tired of the board i always frequented for the past decade. I'm sure if there's some from on there that are here, they know me. Anyway, 35 years old, been a twins fan my whole life, and big into fantasy baseball. I'm not an over the top homer, nor do i rip for the sake of ripping. Now get some f'n runs guys. jimmer, glunn and USAFChief 3

formerly33 Verified Member Posted April 23, 2016 Posted April 23, 2016 Not looking to start something here, but if I'm understanding your first 4 points correctly, you have no problem with cheating so long as it's done in the pursuit of a dream with sizable financial upside. So for example, you are all good with someone who's dream is to be President stuffing the ballot box in order to ensure election.I thought he was saying he understood why a young, dumb person would fall for that temptation. I didn't notice so much as a hint that it was okay. Steroids are banned to protect the players who use them as much as protect the players who don't use them. Bark's Lounge 1
