Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 Even when they try to do the right thing (pinch hit Sanó) they screw it up (lifting Rosario for Arcia).Agree - if it was Arcia's spot up with 2 men on versus a lefty, instead of Rosario's spot, then Arcia would have been pinch hit for.
howeda7 Verified Member Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 I'm glad we bent over backwards to keep Tonkin since he was out of options.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 ftfyThanks, I feel better now. Only 8.6% if the losses. The rain delays made the Baltimore games feel like 4 losses instead of 3, I guess.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 If the Twins can protect their deficit tonight, and eke out another loss tomorrow with Ricky "No No" Nolasco going against Edinson "117 ERA+" Volquez, they'll have 7 losses to start the season. The Royals look to me like they have a pretty good shot to win 90+ games again. So if they Twins want to even think about winning the division, they had better plan on losing no more than 70 games. So in other words, the Twins have an excellent shot to bank almost 10 percent of the losses they can afford for the season in just one week. One week, out of 26, roughly 10 percent of the losses for 92 wins. http://images.tvfanatic.com/iu/s--JgmVc0Ce--/t_large_l/f_auto,fl_lossy,q_75/v1396822150/keeping-his-secret.jpgWhich outfielder is that?

howeda7 Verified Member Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 Draw the line-up out of a hat tomorrow. It can't be worse.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 Which outfielder is that?Sano, after finding out that being the best hitter on one of the most offense-challenged teams in the AL isn't enough to keep you in the lineup...
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 Perk better get the 8th. So help me god if the first time we somehow manage to take a lead into the 9th is his first appearance of the year.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 I'm trying to understand how this (basically same) club won as many games as they did last season. I was hoping it wasn't an anomaly.

Darius Verified Member Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 Live look at glen perkinsI have to call BS on this one. With some quick and dirty forensics, I've concluded that the remains didn't have a massive beer gut at the time of expiration. Also, there isn't nearly the level of skeletal scarring on rib cage that you would expect to see from someone who was perpetually out of breath.
SwainZag Community Moderator Posted April 10, 2016 Author Posted April 10, 2016 Aaand that's Buxton's 10th K in his 15th AB.

This is your Silver Linings moment.

(I only say that because if he is out of shape with a beer gut.......what does that make me?)

glunn Community Moderator Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 This is beyond painful to watch, but so was the start of last season.

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 This is beyond painful to watch, but so was the start of last season.A win tomorrow gives them the same record after 6 games as in '15. Hard to believe.

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 RISPTrue, but we're hardly even getting the people ISP, let alone driving them in.
wavedog Verified Member Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 Still some drama left - Will our batters get to 10K's tonight and keep our double-digit K streak going.
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 Is Ryan Pressley a real person? Or Michael Tonkin? Or are they Casey Fien aliases used for job security? I imagine every time Molitor calls down there those guys aren't around, but only Fien. I have no other explanation for why Fien is pitching.Fien put a virtually unwinnable game out of reach. I consider this a best case scenario.
SwainZag Community Moderator Posted April 10, 2016 Author Posted April 10, 2016 True, but we're hardly even getting the people ISP, let alone driving them in. With tonight's 0-4, they are 3-37 for the season with RISP.
alskntwnsfn Verified Member Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 How about that Taylor White for Houston? Hitting about .700.
SwainZag Community Moderator Posted April 10, 2016 Author Posted April 10, 2016 Lol. The last thing we need is for Perkins to start a brawl. Twins would go home beaten up with an 0-5 record.
alskntwnsfn Verified Member Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 Throwing behind a guy in the opposite batters box is pretty odd. Guess he did need to shake out the rust.
Marek Houston Wichita Wind Surge - AA SS On Saturday, Houston went 3-for-5 and scored two runs. After a short slump, he is now back over .290 on the season. Explore Marek Houston News >
