Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 4, 2016 Author Posted April 4, 2016 You guys want to know who I think is going to win? I'm not sure USAFChief 1
DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted April 4, 2016 Posted April 4, 2016 No...but I did have a bottle of Jameson's in my office closet for a while. Unfortunately, I drank it all (over a period of several years and with a couple of colleagues) and have not replaced it. My bad.Amateur... I have about 10 bottles of whiskey(s) and a case of beer in my office currently. (Home office FTW!) big dog, ScrapTheNickname, James and 1 other 4
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 4, 2016 Posted April 4, 2016 Don't you have a refrigerated drawer in your desk to store your beer? Sheesh. Is that a beer in your refrigerated drawers or are you just happy to see us? Platoon, big dog and ScrapTheNickname 3
Shane Wahl Verified Member Posted April 4, 2016 Posted April 4, 2016 They wanted to lock as many fans in the stadium as possible. If you've ever walked a Baltimore street, it's really for their own safety though, it's a total public service. No, that part of Baltimore is nice. DaveW 1
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 4, 2016 Author Posted April 4, 2016 Btw, in unrelated news, but did you guys know that Hawk Harrelson has scaled back his announcing to only away games? So that means, when I'm forced to watch Twins-Sox games on the local network, my Hawk listening time is now cut in half! Woohoo!Isn't doing only away games... backwards? That's like cutting down to half a coconut and your half is the hard part that Tom Hanks couldn't open. ScrapTheNickname 1
DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted April 4, 2016 Posted April 4, 2016 No, that part of Baltimore is nice. It's actually amazing and one of my favorite areas on this coast, I get out to that area a few times a year for work, it's amazing during the (warmer) spring and fall months.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 4, 2016 Posted April 4, 2016 That's like cutting down to half a coconut and your half is the husk I see you've met Mrs Chief. Riverbrian, James and Platoon 3

Squirrel Community Moderator Posted April 4, 2016 Posted April 4, 2016 Yeah, but Hawk provides such good thread fodder. (silver lining, baby, silver lining)That depends ... define 'fodder.' Riverbrian 1
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted April 4, 2016 Posted April 4, 2016 Delaying opening day is like delaying Christmas morning... You can't do this weather gods!!!Yes, but that delay works perfect for me ... got to the dmv and back in just under an hour ... plus was able to stop at Garrett's on the way home for some caramel crisp popcorn (the elite, gourmet version of Cracker Jacks).
big dog Verified Member Posted April 4, 2016 Posted April 4, 2016 Isn't doing only away games... backwards? That's like cutting down to half a coconut and your half is the hard part that Tom Hanks couldn't open. Hawk lives on the border of Indiana and Michigan, and is quite a ways away from the home park. I think the logic is that he can go on the road, stay in the hotel there, and just stay home when the team plays in Chicago. As a resident of the Chicago TV-shed, I would just like to propose that he never leave Indiana and allow someone less ridiculous to call the games. Which means just about anyone could do the job, except Ed Farmer. Jerry Reinsdorf's loyalty to his employees is unquestionable, and painful to experience as a listener.
Gernzy Verified Member Posted April 4, 2016 Posted April 4, 2016 I hope the game isn't delayed too long. I want to go to BWW after work and watch it. If it gets too long that random basketball game tonight will make the place too busy. (and yes I know what game is on, just don't care! It's baseball season!!!) DiscGolfer and 70charger 2
big dog Verified Member Posted April 4, 2016 Posted April 4, 2016 Any updates on the rain delay from someone with a live broadcast?

mikecgrimes Verified Member Posted April 4, 2016 Posted April 4, 2016 Still no break for the next 2 hours. Either tell us the game starts at 7 or noon tomorrow, it's not that complicated.

Jham Verified Member Posted April 4, 2016 Posted April 4, 2016 6 pages before the first pitch, solid work gentlemen and ladies. I decided to skip lunch so I could take a late lunch at 2 for the game. I'm feeling quite peckish and borderline delirio on account of low blood sugar now. My body is much more Sano-ish these days, but I'm feeling mighty Buxton-ish right now... Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 4, 2016 Author Posted April 4, 2016 Have you been to Baltimore? The part of town Camden is in is really, really nice.Yeah sure, Baltimore has some terrible areas, but that's like saying Chicago is a garbage city because of the southside. I agree... You got like a 3 block cushion.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted April 4, 2016 Posted April 4, 2016 Renewed my license today ... I had to pay $5 more for the motorcycle endorsement ... why is that? Why should that cost me more? Riverbrian 1
