Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2016 Author Posted April 1, 2016 Wow ... I didn't realize the minor leaguers left, too. You should go find Bob Sacamento. Maybe he'll take your picture, or shoot some video of you in the parking lot, and put it in one of his 'Behind the Fences' blogs. Funny you say that ChiTown. We spent 2 hours this morning yelling "BOB?!" "BOB?! Where are you?!" until Billy the parking lot attendant said we had to vacate the premises... We decided to make lemonade out of lemons and go to the Roadhouse Cafe. I'm now broadcasting LIVE from a bar stool!
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2016 Author Posted April 1, 2016 By the way, has anyone checked in on Loosey since he drank radiator fluid yesterday? Otherwise we may have witnessed the first death in radio! You guys are all witnesses and have my back, right?

Did you get his take on the state of the Twins?

By the way... is this Billy Smith you've been talking to? Did you get his take on the state of the Twins?Billy was pretty upset that we were loitering in the parking lot, so I did not get his take on the Twins... Once you're in the Twins organization, you're taken care of for life! Billy Smith is no different being a parking lot attendant.
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2016 Author Posted April 1, 2016 Mr. Host with the Most: For game threading, is Red or White the preferred choice of Whine? It's getting close to being serious now.Craig! Welcome to the show! To answer your question, concur. I have 2 ground rules for Whine - Is there alcohol in it? Can I consume it? If the answer is yes, I will have some. I also do not rule out: - Beer- Vodka - Margaritas- Rum- Whiskey- Gin All of them have their roles and purpose for game threadin.
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2016 Author Posted April 1, 2016 Since Duensing has been released, he is available. Do you think the Twins should re-sign him so we can trade him for someone, and would it be a good trade? I think a Kuechel for Duensing trade (we might have to throw in Punto) would put the team in the WS!Duensing is left without a home, eh? I'm sure that's going to be very tempting for the Twins to sign him up again.. I'm still holding out hope for David Wells to make his MLB return!

twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2016 Posted April 2, 2016 Well, I'm back from my self imposed hiatus in the wilds of Northern Manitoba fighting Grizzly Bears, I also had an unexpected delay battling Great White Sharks in Lake Winnipeg on the way back. Van, what 's the address at the station? I have a subscription to National Geographic I think might come in handy for you.....
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2016 Posted April 2, 2016 You remember wrong, friend.$34 million gross, not take home. Taxes, agents, posse, etc etc.How are you s'posed to feed a family on that?Don't forget it was also in Canadian funds Chief, so really it was more like $34.00 with exchange.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2016 Posted April 2, 2016 is there any truth to the rumor that North was attacked by Mama Grizzly and will have to crawl to the North Star Line, and then Light Rail to make a July game? No, not attacked by Mama Grizzly.....in......Manitoba.....otherwise known as the Central Plains. Having to crawl to the North Star Line and Light Rail is highly probable at some point this season however.

I doubt they will write a book about an alcohol induced crawl back to the train, after a game. It's done by half the fans at a Vikings game weekly.

In today's world - you cannot do much without it being caught on someone's phone. The wild bears before their battle with twinsnorth. I have heard Terry Ryan is not happy about this. http://minnesota.twins.mlb.com/images/4/7/2/31157472/TC_Bear_IMAGE_zslvhwyz.jpg

USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 4, 2016 Posted April 4, 2016 Hey, thanks a million for the Opening Day ducats I won on the show last week. I'm just wandering around downtown Minneapolis, gonna grab a bite, then head on over to Target Field. By any chance do you know what time the gates open there today? Must not be anytime soon, there's no lines yet that I can see. Anywhoo, thanks again. Really looking forward to seeing the home town nine open the season at Target Field today!!
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted April 4, 2016 Author Posted April 4, 2016 How will opposing pitchers pitch to park this series? He has had trouble with the breaking ball the last few games.Thank you for the call, milldaddy. I'm expecting Park to see nothing but curve balls and junk in the dirt until he can learn to mash those pitches. However, if I'm on the coaching staff, this is how I prep Park to handle the pressure of the off-speed pitch: BLITZBall! I would have woken up Park at 6 AM and take him to the park to do Blitzball batting practice. Check out the curve of this pitch below. Incredible! If Park can hit this pitch, curve balls shouldn't be a problem... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fh-oZbSJeG8

You know what Chief, I have no idea what time the gates open today. But then again, I'm not a conformist who abides by gate rules. If it's not open yet, kick that SOB in! What's the worst that could happen?
diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted April 4, 2016 Posted April 4, 2016 Hi Van, let's hear some predictions. Twins wins? Most outlandish Twins controversy? Most outlandish TD controversy? Minor leaguer that will make the most impact?

Chief, remember that despite the WL record, or the size of the crowd, TF ushers frown on you moving to better seats. I would highly advise staying in what are likely seats in the upper RF corner, despite what appear to be 40,000 empty seats closer to home plate. Btw, say hi to Sid for me if you see him. You two might be the only ones there!
Platoon Verified Member Posted April 4, 2016 Posted April 4, 2016 Vanster! Since you have already admitted acquiring Chielf PP account info, you should be able to help me with a moral dilemma. My daughter must have used my IPad to make an Amazon purchase, and now when I open Amazon her CC info, password et al is right there in front of me. Should I limit the size of my purchase? Or disregard family values and felony level theft penalties and go for it. As an aside, how much do you know about extradition treaties?
