SwainZag Community Moderator Posted September 2, 2015 Posted September 2, 2015 I should have clarified... Clearly, since Molitor is hitting Hunter 5th, he has confidence in him. Given this fact, I hate pinch running, with two outs in the 7th, for a guy hitting 5th.Now... I think Hunter should be hitting 9th (actually he should be on the bench) so I don't mind him not being in the game. So I don't mind it in that regard. I think your mistake is assuming since Hunter is hitting 5th that is somehow hitting better than he has for the past......2 months.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 2, 2015 Posted September 2, 2015 Another run, please.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted September 2, 2015 Posted September 2, 2015 It's great to hear that Buxton has been working on his bunting this week. But I hope that news has no more effect on how the Twins use him than the news that he's been working on his dentistry.
Jerr Verified Member Posted September 2, 2015 Posted September 2, 2015 Pale Sox going really PALE..... LOL LOL DiscGolfer 1
SwainZag Community Moderator Posted September 2, 2015 Posted September 2, 2015 This is the Chicago defense I'm use to!

DiscGolfer Verified Member Posted September 2, 2015 Posted September 2, 2015 Mauer actually came through in a late inning situation? NICE!

big dog Verified Member Posted September 2, 2015 Posted September 2, 2015 Not to complain, but how did Buxton not score on a deep single to right center? I expected him to cross the plate about two feet behind Suzuki.
Ultima Ratio Verified Member Posted September 2, 2015 Posted September 2, 2015 That's a dumb luck, gift rbi for Plouffsie -- with Buxton running.
D. Hocking Verified Member Posted September 2, 2015 Posted September 2, 2015 Mauer actually came through in a late inning situation? NICE! I know there is a lot of criticism of Mauer - and understandably so - but he has actually been pretty good in some clutch situations this season. I know people were discussing they would rather have Plouffe than him, and there are reasons why that would make sense, but I still would rather see him in a clutch situation (but I am a Mauer apologist). LaBombo Verified Member Posted September 2, 2015 Posted September 2, 2015 I guess it's hard to fault the kid for not sliding when he's in the dugout before the ball gets to the catcher... twinsnorth49, Gibby and Blake 3
