Squirrel Community Moderator Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 I was at that one. The hardest I've ever seen a baseball get hit. It was like the whole stadium let out a collective "Oh my God!" And the Twins won that game and Francona afterwards was saying "This is baseball, not ****ing mini-golf!"Awww ... poor, poor Red Sox! /dripping sarcasm
Turd Furgeson Verified Member Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 I guess we did have some good luck with our blooper bunts landing for hits and what not, we probably deserve a missed home run off of a catwalk. LOL
Gibby Provisional Member Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 One of these years I'll get up to see a game at the Trop ... or not. Went there once...the chic's weren't responding at all to my advances.

mikecgrimes Verified Member Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 Pull the boys off the field and show the league up on that crap.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 One of these years I'll get up to see a game at the Trop ... or not. With all your trips to Florida... This one should be easy to check off your list. When you do go... Pretend to be a building inspector and declare the Trop unsafe and place warning signs around the stadium. You'll need a costume... Shirt... Tie... Clipboard and those glasses with the eyeballs hanging from springs.
David HK Verified Member Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 There's a small measure of justice. How about Esco this series? Hey Molly... oh, never mind.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 Escobear........again........wut?!
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 No translator needed in the clubhouse: Eduardo Escobar is pretty happy.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 Escobar and Suzuki are powering the lineup. As expected.

Jham Verified Member Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 Was Buxton partying last night or something? Please show up for the rest of the game.
mlynch16 Verified Member Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 Oh lord. Buxton can't hit a fastball down the middle. That's 5 in a row that he swung and missed at.
ashbury Verified Member Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 I'm in the city and have deer, raccoon, fox, coyote, and various raptor. My neighbor across the street said he saw a black bear in our creek bed yesterday. Our window doesn't face that way, and/or we weren't paying attention. He also saw a deer with nice antlers at around the same time. Wonder how that worked out.
jun Verified Member Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 As I said it many times, Escobar has power and he is a streaky hitter. He is also a solid fielder. No doubt he should be starting the whole season.

Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 I like me some nice antlers. A Chef like you... Can obviously Cook Anything.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 I thought Esco played well enough last year to get a starting job out of ST this year.
Gibby Provisional Member Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 You were never 17 years old? I was like, 35 when I was 17.

sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 It has to be tough to play in front of 8 people every home game. 9 in the AL. (i'll catch up to the thread eventually. I'll pretend i'm Chuck Yeager or something...)
jun Verified Member Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 Sounds a bit like JJ Hardy. Except Escobar doesn't get hurt.Escobar did very well in spring training. He should be the starter the whole season.
ashbury Verified Member Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 I thought Esco played well enough last year to get a starting job out of ST this year. My concern has always been that he would wear down with constant use. Of course you can't prove that unless you try him, but I'll need to see a *lot* more of this over months, not weeks, to become convinced.
