LaBombo Verified Member Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 82 pitches through 4 innings? Plus fifteen pick-off attempts with Revere at the plate...Why do we start Robinson against Iwakuma, and Rosario against Price again? Kind of surprised they didn't force Mauer to play a day game after a... day game, just to stick to one of the few more important Twins Way rules, Maximizing Platoon Disadvantage. Hosken Bombo Disco 1
70charger Verified Member Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 The funny thing is, its mostly not even hobo urine. I'd say at least 80% of it is cabbie urine. Word of advice: if you ever see a a gatorade bottle that looks full or half full or anything laying in the street or sidewalk do NOT pick it up and throw it away. Just let it be. Ha. Gross. I'm picturing that scene from Dumb & Dumber, with the cop. LaBombo and Riverbrian 2

Twins are on the road and are not getting calls against a premiere name in MLB. Robots, please. Riverbrian 1
Jham Verified Member Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 Bone... Donaldson... Robinson has been serviceable this year. I'm not going to knock his contributions. Arcia should probably be up to start for Hunter though. Hosken Bombo Disco 1

Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 You really think the umps are biased? come on. that's a loser mentality. Watching on Gamecast, several pitches to Sano hit the plate, but were called balls. It just is. It's not some grand conspiracy. Plus, your manager bunted in the third inning, and your hitters couldn't get 1 ball out of the outfield with the bases loaded. This isn't about the umpires. rghrbek and Platoon 2
Whammy Verified Member Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 This is historically our M.O. against Price. Get a run or two early, threaten a big inning, then have him make us look silly while he pitches into the 8th

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 (edited) I forgot the twins had an early game today. Apparently they did too. These last two months can't go by quickly enough. Hopefully they can finish near .500 but that would require someone, anyone, to be a leader and at least galvanize the team to have an inspired performance here and there. It's been a sleep walk for months now. Edited August 3, 2015 by Aggies7
rghrbek Verified Member Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 This team, feels like it could be no hit at some point and time soon...
DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 Umpires inconsistency has nothing to do with the Twins offense suckingIt actually had a lot to do with what was the most important at bat in the game (Hicks up bases loaded 1 out and he was struck out on a pitch 4 inches outside the zone) LaBombo, member, FattCrapps and 2 others 5
Halsey Hall Verified Member Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 I very much enjoyed Donaldson flailing at that and looking confused afterwards. Great way to work out of that jam SantanaAnd how about now?
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 The fact that there is not one, but two teams in the year 2015 still playing on artificial turf makes me sad. James 1

DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 Hicks is facing David Price, you know the minds of major league umpires and there bias, not just against the Twins but all of baseball. We have seen that movie hundreds of times watching any number of baseball games, the veteran star ace get's the calls and the rookies to somewhat inexperienced guys at the plate get the shaft. That is as true today as it was 50 years ago. That was a terrible call though.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 Boyer time! How long has it been since we vultured him a win?
Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 Oh goody, Blaine Boyer to face Tulo, Donaldson, and Bautista. What could possibly go wrong? 70charger and member 2
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 I'm sorry to say, but there aren't enough David Prices or Carlos Gomezes in the league to make the twins anything more than a mediocre club for 2015. The twins would embarrass themselves in the playoffs, assuming they even made it past the wild card game.
