Why do we start Robinson against Iwakuma, and Rosario against Price again?

 

Kind of surprised they didn't force Mauer to play a day game after a... day game, just to stick to one of the few more important Twins Way rules, Maximizing Platoon Disadvantage.

You really think the umps are biased? come on. that's a loser mentality. Watching on Gamecast, several pitches to Sano hit the plate, but were called balls. It just is. It's not some grand conspiracy.

 

Plus, your manager bunted in the third inning, and your hitters couldn't get 1 ball out of the outfield with the bases loaded. This isn't about the umpires.

I forgot the twins had an early game today. Apparently they did too. These last two months can't go by quickly enough. Hopefully they can finish near .500 but that would require someone, anyone, to be a leader and at least galvanize the team to have an inspired performance here and there. It's been a sleep walk for months now.

Umpires inconsistency has nothing to do with the Twins offense sucking

It actually had a lot to do with what was the most important at bat in the game (Hicks up bases loaded 1 out and he was struck out on a pitch 4 inches outside the zone)

Hicks is facing David Price, you know the minds of major league umpires and there bias, not just against the Twins but all of baseball. We have seen that movie hundreds of times watching any number of baseball games, the veteran star ace get's the calls and the rookies to somewhat inexperienced guys at the plate get the shaft. That is as true today as it was 50 years ago.

That was a terrible call though.
