USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 I guess you're right. I don't mean that. But um, please don't call me Shirley...(not as funny in text, is it...)Alright now... Let's load the bases again in the 8th!It's even funnier in text!
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 You can't go half-assed when you are trying to let May rot in the pen. You have to go full out to make sure not to use him.Actually, I'm ok with May not being used. It's 8-3, just let Graham pitch the 8th and 9th.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 It's even funnier in text! I stand corrected.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Hey, they got Florimon into the game! Small world.

SwainZag Community Moderator Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 This weeks HUGE minor league signing made his Twins debut today in Rochester. For those wondering Michael Bowden lasted in to the 5th inning for the Rochester Red Wings. Bowden's Rochester team debut: 4.0 IP, 6 H, 4 R, 4 ER, 1 BB, 4 SO.76 pitches, 49 strikes. Pants on fire this signing will be GM Terry Ryans finest dumpster diving feet yet. Now you are just looking for things to complain about.
DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Now you are just looking for things to complain about.Doesn't take much looking with this current team/org.
glunn Community Moderator Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 It looks like Santana had a bad outing and the offense was mediocre. Let's hope that the Twins can turn it around soon.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 It looks like Santana had a bad outing and the offense was mediocre. sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 So i's okay with not pinch hitting for folk, especially with younger players. If they don't get chances in those high leverage situations, how do you expect 'em to figure them out and come through eventually? That's why i'm also okay with less platooning... And i guess as well with less trading. The upgrade needs to be distinct, if not significant to make it go, as there are adjustments involved... And this series i think the Pirates are doin' their level best to answer when we took it to 'em at their home park. Reminds me of the childish glee i took in bumper cars of picking on one person the whole way through the first time in them, then after going through the line again, spending the next time trying to avoid that person's just retribution...
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Glorm! What's new? Now you type: "Terrorists, Chief. They've taken over my stomach and they're demanding beer." Sounds like an untenable situation. Do we negotiate with terrorists?
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 I guess the HP ump has seen enough, too.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Oh yeah... CBU of the superfluous variety... 10-3, 2 outs in the 9th, Mauer on 3rd, and Sano at the plate.
DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 LOL that is the perfect ending for this game.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Sano doubles, then gets caught off second to end a 10-4 game. Uff da. Final CBU.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Sano makes the 3rd out over running 2nd on a double to the right field corner. Thus the pain ends. (Unless of course your following the non-waiver trade deadline...)
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 It looks like Santana had a bad outing and the offense was mediocre. Let's hope that the Twins can turn it around soon. Concur. And succinctly put. (i shoulda said so when first 'twas posted. Sorry 'bout that)
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 That was actually kind of funny. Sano hits a two-RBI double, then over-slides second base for the last out. Good one for his video vault.

Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Nunez is still on this roster why? Polanco did not play, why?
ashbury Verified Member Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 I would like to apologize for the recent stretch of bad performances by the Twins. Due to a house move and other activities I have been unable to take part in TD Game Threads very much. I am sure that once I am back on a regular basis, the team will straighten itself out as before. Again, my apologies.

Again, my apologies. Sure you say that now - but next week you will miss a number of games shopping for curtains for the new home, and we all know how that goes. Seems like it might have been a good game for work to prevent me from following it.
Platoon Verified Member Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 I am watching this on TiVo. It appears both teams are taking a mental day off!
Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Some of you may want to take some time away and let your blood pressure settle, lest this be played for you.
