Squirrel Community Moderator Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Reminds me of a card a friend of mine once gave to a female of interest. The front said, "All most men think about is your legs." The inside said, "But I'm above that."Yes, and sophomoric has now become the word of the day. Platoon and Riverbrian 2
Circus Boy Verified Member Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Change of subject... CB: I'll take Bank On It for $1,000, Alex. Alex: This commercial theme song celebrated a financial institution's interest-free loans and other complimentary services. CB: What is "Money for nothing, checks for free," Alex? Alex: Bravo, Circus Boy! And you're a thousand dollars richer for it. Riverbrian and USAFChief 2
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Can someone tell me why Pelfrey faced Ishikawa? You need a K there. Danchat 1
Platoon Verified Member Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Pelf was only 2 outs away from a quality start. It's a shame, Bert would have not been here to witness it. Riverbrian 1
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Yes, and sophomoric has now become the word of the day.freshmanic even! I LOVED it!! Riverbrian 1
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 freshmanic even! I LOVED it!!Why am I not surprised? Riverbrian 1
Platoon Verified Member Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Can someone tell me why Pelfrey faced Ishikawa? You need a K there. I agree. This looked a little like a Gardy move. Let the veteran have a shot at the W. USAFChief 1
David HK Verified Member Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 So, are you saying this inning is your faultYes, I admit it. I own that inning. But Pelf owns the rest. Squirrel 1
John Kelsey Verified Member Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 O'Rourke is as advertised against lefties. Yikes. spinowner, USAFChief and Danchat 3
spinowner Provisional Member Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Let's tie this game in one at-bat.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Yes, I admit it. I own that inning. But Pelf owns the rest. That's fair. I accept your ownership and your non-ownership. Riverbrian and USAFChief 2
Danchat Verified Member Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 LOOGY for the win!I am liking O'Rourke so far. Now, can we try a few other guys from AAA? How about Achter?
mudcat14 Verified Member Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Can we please, please, please move Pukefry to the pen now? I don't care if he's not comfortable in that role. For what, $5mil + per year, he can suck it! He clearly doesn't have the stuff to face the same batters more than once in a game. David HK 1
David HK Verified Member Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 That's fair. I accept your ownership and your non-ownership.I am all about giving both sides fair play. Or maybe not. Riverbrian and Squirrel 2
howeda7 Verified Member Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Mike Pelfrey now has a 6.80 ERA in his last 8 starts. I look forward to him making 12 more! Danchat and Mike Sixel 2
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 For the better part of two months, the twins have been playing uninspired, boring baseball. They don't hit nearly enough and cannot hold leads of many sizes. It is amazing that they still hold a spot for the wild card. One month of good play does not make a playoff team. I wish they'd go ahead and blow their wild card lead. I feel like they're just delaying the inevitable. I do know that these recent weeks have not been very fun to watch, outside of the homestand before the ASG.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Hicksee to the rescue! Squirrel 1
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Let's tie this game in one at-bat. Not picky on how many at-bats. That worked for me... Hicks comes through again.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Hicks has been a lone and surprising bright spot recently.
spinowner Provisional Member Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 And kudos to Molitor for sending Sano. Squirrel 1
big dog Verified Member Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 I'm liking the new version of Aaron Hicks!
howeda7 Verified Member Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Hicks does make trading Arcia more of a valid idea.
Ultima Ratio Verified Member Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Please let this be the true, authentic version of Hicks from here on out. David HK, Mike Sixel and spinowner 3
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Having this version of Hicks up has been just like making a trade! USAFChief and David HK 2
howeda7 Verified Member Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 I'm as annoyed with Sazuki as anyone, but you have to admit his BABIP luck this year is awful. big dog 1
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Suzuki's stroked it, but another catch does him in... Oh well... Sorry to leave ya hangin' at 3rd, Mr. Hicks. Anyway, back to the business at hand. Get another goose egg for our bullpen.
