Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Actually, no. I was thinking that Rosario isn't given a standing green light, so I was shifting the blame elsewhere. I hate the concept of automatically taking on 3-0. Every hitter, no matter who they are, should always be looking for a specific pitch they can hit on 3-0. It's way too easy to take a strike on 3-0, then foul the next pitch off, and boom, 3-0 is 3-2, no more hitter's advantage. There's so much talk about not giving away outs, I have no idea why it would be any better to give away strikes.
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 He really needs to go back to being the catcher, though. Thanks, I thought we might go one thread this week without that being posted. I feel better now.

sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 OK, enjoyed it folks. bring home a "winnah" for me. All my bags are packed, I'm ready to go. The taxi's waitin', blowin' his horn. I'm leaving on a jet plane. Don't know when I'll be back again. Oh VodkaDave, I hate to go. I think the balls off the Twins' bats wish to join you...
Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Mauer broke Gameday - it awarded the Orioles two runs in the first inning after Mauer's home run... Gameday is also telling me the current play is "With Brian Dozier batting, Eric Fryer steals (1) 2nd base". Thank goodness I paid to get all radio broadcasts. Best $20 I ever spent.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Mauer has broke both MLB's and ESPN's gamedays. MLB.com claims the game 3-2 (Baltimore's lead) and ESPN claims the score is 2-2. I'm pretty sure it's 3-1 right now.

It's one of those rules that should be reserved for highschool level or below.
Kirby_waved_at_me Verified Member Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Can anyone out there in radioland confirm that Mauer's homer only scored a run for the Twins and none for the Orioles?

Squirrel Community Moderator Posted July 8, 2015 Author Posted July 8, 2015 Cmon Milone ... rollin' ... GET.HIM.OUT!
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Is there some reason Milone can't keep pitching until dinner time? Why make those poor, tired relievers stand up off the bench?
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted July 8, 2015 Author Posted July 8, 2015 uh oh ... who will come in?
wxman91 Verified Member Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Can anyone out there in radioland confirm that Mauer's homer only scored a run for the Twins and none for the Orioles? The Orioles tv broadcast shows 3-1, but that could just be them lulling us into a false sense of security.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted July 8, 2015 Author Posted July 8, 2015 Okay ... he's staying in ... just get one more ...
wxman91 Verified Member Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Molitor goes to the mound, but leaves Milone in.

Squirrel Community Moderator Posted July 8, 2015 Author Posted July 8, 2015 heh ... watching the game ... but the box score above the game is stuck/wrong ... Yes, it's 3-1, Twins. at 7 1/2.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted July 8, 2015 Author Posted July 8, 2015 Good thing Arcia was out there in left for that.I swear I've sat by you at too many games ...
Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Gameday still on the fritz (claims 3-2 O's), unless Dozier's homer was so impressive it counted for 2 runs for both teams.

Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 I swear I've sat by you at too many games ...Hah! That was actually a jab at the Rosario thread in this forum...

SwainZag Community Moderator Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Molitor goes to the mound, but leaves Milone in. Looks like Molitor gave Milone the option to stay in too
