I never said other wise.  My point was, if people expected him to do well, they were bound to be let down based on the fact that he hadn't prepared and because he started the season late.

 

And to play devils advocate for a moment, he wasn't employed in the offseason nor was he employed prior to being signed. He didn't owe any team anything.

Wasn't implying you said otherwise, just making a related comment. To your next point, I doubt very much he said anything other than "I'm ready to play" when he signed with us. Still, its ultimately on us to vett properly. Could be no one is st fault too.
