Thats what happens when your 2B/SS is playing in the outfield. And why isn't Escobar an everyday starter?

This is getting sad.  Escobar is usually reliable.

How does THAT happen?  When I was in HS, my coach had something he yelled out every time we one-handed a fly ball or pop up -- TWO HANDS TURKEY!!  I say it to myself every time I see it on TV or when I umpire.  TK and his fundamentals must be seething mad right now.

Whew,  I have a Vegas bet for the Twins to win the division, and I would like to keep some hope alive.

Holy nickels! Just read the 2nd inning pbp on ESPN and it's plain why there was so much consternation in Twins Nation. If we can get out of that kind of jam, that bodes well. Or not. That's my prediction.

Actually two hands is not for improved catching... its for quick transition out of the glove.

I thought the ball transitioned out of Nunez and Escobars glove really fast... so... no need for two hands.

We are the worst team in baseball of moving guys over...

Heh, but that's just one of our many categories for "bragging rights"

It's to make sure the ball doesn't pop out like it did on Escobar.  He half-assed the catch as it was anyway so he deserved what he got out of it.

The transition out of is never the problem.  They need to work on the transition into.  (For Nunez it should be transition into Rochester or the waiver wire, but that's hard to do while he's batting 1.000.)

Early favorite for game thread of the year. Love the lineup haiku.

Popups are routine.

Twins do all the little things,

these words were once true.
