glunn Community Moderator Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Thats what happens when your 2B/SS is playing in the outfield. And why isn't Escobar an everyday starter? This is getting sad. Escobar is usually reliable.
SwainZag Community Moderator Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 I just had Castro flashbacks.
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 I think this applies: (minus Gardy)http://i57.tinypic.com/2i6mecn.jpgWhere's Bartlett?
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Were lucky to only be down 2. Hughes should get permission to kick the snot out of his outfielders at the next practice.
TwinsCD Verified Member Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 How does THAT happen? When I was in HS, my coach had something he yelled out every time we one-handed a fly ball or pop up -- TWO HANDS TURKEY!! I say it to myself every time I see it on TV or when I umpire. TK and his fundamentals must be seething mad right now.
glunn Community Moderator Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Whew, I have a Vegas bet for the Twins to win the division, and I would like to keep some hope alive.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted April 12, 2015 Author Posted April 12, 2015 2-0 After 2 innings as Circus Boy update.
glunn Community Moderator Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Nice hustle by Nunez to stretch that to a double.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 And then Nunez makes up for his gaffe by hitting a double. As expected.

Circus Boy Verified Member Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Holy nickels! Just read the 2nd inning pbp on ESPN and it's plain why there was so much consternation in Twins Nation. If we can get out of that kind of jam, that bodes well. Or not. That's my prediction.
glunn Community Moderator Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Give Hughes credit for not giving up a run after the 2 errors,
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Should have been a triple, but thanks Danny.
glunn Community Moderator Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Santana!!! We are still in this.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted April 12, 2015 Author Posted April 12, 2015 Santana picks up Nunez! Halves the lead, and winds up in scoring position.

I thought the ball transitioned out of Nunez and Escobars glove really fast... so... no need for two hands.
jokin Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 We are the worst team in baseball of moving guys over... Heh, but that's just one of our many categories for "bragging rights"
SwainZag Community Moderator Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Joe just got rung up on Ball 4.
NorthwestTwinsFan Provisional Member Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Mauer wasn't too pleased with that call. Appeared to be inside, but that's the way things are going I suppose.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Over/Under on .5 an error this inning?

He half-assed the catch as it was anyway so he deserved what he got out of it.

(For Nunez it should be transition into Rochester or the waiver wire, but that's hard to do while he's batting 1.000.)
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Nunez will be the first gone (of position players). How soon? Not soon enough
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Bert ranked Pelf's performance yesterday 8 out of 10. I would hate to see what a 2 looks like.
alskntwnsfn Verified Member Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Early favorite for game thread of the year. Love the lineup haiku. Popups are routine. Twins do all the little things, these words were once true.
