jokin Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Sorry, guys. Had a mess in aisle 7 after the elephants came through. When you reach the Post #430 milestone, you're supposed to say it in the form of one of Luther's 95 "theses"
alskntwnsfn Verified Member Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 OT question, I've never been to a Sonic. Am I missing anything? If so, what?
formerly33 Verified Member Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Who is this Hippie on the mound?I was just admiring his hair. But if you say so...

Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Y'know, I'm starting to like Aaron Thompson. He's a pretty decent pitcher - and a better option than Stauffer and Boyer, in my opinion.
formerly33 Verified Member Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Does anybody live in an area where they can't tune into the Twins game on television? Just PM me and I'll show you how to hack the system. Honest. You'll never regret it.
Circus Boy Verified Member Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 When you reach the Post #430 milestone, you're supposed to say it in the form of one of Luther's 95 "theses" Being the offspring of two Lutheran ministers, I know of oodles of Martin Luther quotes full of scatalogical flavor.
formerly33 Verified Member Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Dozier crawling like a puppy. That means he wasn't leading off far enough.
formerly33 Verified Member Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 What is the exact definition of the baseline?
formerly33 Verified Member Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 What is the exact definition of the baseline?Aw shoot. I shouldn't have said that. It gave the WS a bright idea.
gil4 Verified Member Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 I guess it's no big deal that I wasn't able to listen to the end of the game. Wait, we might come back and win in the 11th. Oh, wait, somehow I feel like an idiot to even think of that. In '10 you would say "I KNOW the Twins are going to win." In '11 you could say "I THINK the Twins are going to win." In '12 you would say "I HOPE the Twins are going to win." In '13 you would say "I WISH the Twins would win." In '14 you'd say "I think the Twins are going to lose." In '15 we all shout "I KNOW THE TWINS ARE GONNA LOSE."That's actually my May-Sep progression over that time, not my '10 - '15 progression.
formerly33 Verified Member Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 That's actually my May-Sep progression over that time, not my '10 - '15 progression.Oh, right. I should have thought of that. But somehow I felt like it was September already.
gil4 Verified Member Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 OT question, I've never been to a Sonic. Am I missing anything? If so, what? the Lemon-Berry slush is pretty awesome, and I like the onion rings even if (or maybe because) they are pretty greasy. Beyond that, you aren't missing anything.
TwinsCD Verified Member Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Masters update: Spieth -17 thru 8Rose -13 thru 8Phil -12 thru 9DJ -10 thru 11 Rory -8 thru 9Tiger -5 thru 9 and may have busted his wrist on a tree root with his 2nd shot on 9. He's in a bit of pain.
gil4 Verified Member Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 What is the exact definition of the baseline? There's no such thing as a baseline until someone tries to make a play on a runner. Then it's a straight line from the runner to the base, +/- 3 feet either direction. Or was that question just rhetorical?

I couldn't remember how many feet on either side.ETA: I did know what a baseline was. Honestly. Just not the exact definition.ETA (again): Where does the shortstop stand?
glunn Community Moderator Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 I wonder why Zuke is not better at throwing to second base.
formerly33 Verified Member Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 I wonder why Zuke is not better at throwing to second base.Hey, you're way ahead of me. I saw your comment before I saw the play
TwinsCD Verified Member Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Annnnnnnd, why is Boyer on the major league roster?
glunn Community Moderator Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Boyer seems to be serving up one meatball after another.
Kwak Verified Member Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 The Mighty Whiteys are flexing their muscles?
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted April 12, 2015 Author Posted April 12, 2015 I think it's a clever ruse such that we don't have to face their closer at the start of the inning.
JJHillard Provisional Member Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Please let me read tomorrow that Boyer is sent to Rochester.
