Richie the Rally Goat Community Moderator Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 I think it's nearly the same as the Dome, IIRC.you are correct
ashbury Verified Member Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 I flipped on the game and see that May hadn't self-destructed. Now that I'm paying attention, I expect that to change.Gave up a scratch single after two outs. Now that someone was on base, he promptly gave up a double, which did not score the run. Question, since I had to be away from the video: did he go back to the full windup at that point, with the runners unlikely to steal? He got the out to end the inning, and retired the side in order in the second. This leaves open the chance that he still has trouble from the stretch.
ashbury Verified Member Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 Fine line between solopsism and pattern recognition...I like that one. Into the 80-character quote file it goes.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted September 4, 2014 Author Posted September 4, 2014 Just starting watching... Based on the score.... I assume May has been decent and based on the hole at 2B on my fantasy team... Brian Dozier hasn't helped May one bit.

ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 you are correctI had no idea. They've never mentioned this simple fact on TV (when I've been watching). Also, I don't live in MN, and haven't for some years. So I've never been inside (or outside) the new park, which I would have called Puckett Park by the way.

Mike Frasier Law Verified Member Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 Three excellent innings for May. Here's hoping he can do three more without the wheels falling off like last time
Don't Feed the Greed Guy Verified Member Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 The most remarkable statistical comparison between the Dome and Target Field? How about this: Dome: 55,300 capacity, 448 bathrooms (256 women)TF: 39,504 capacity, 667 bathrooms (401 women)
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted September 4, 2014 Author Posted September 4, 2014 My caller ID says the Democratic Party is calling. I'm not going to answer.... And if the Republicans call... I'll pass on that as well.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 Santana at short, Hicks in center, Pinto catching, Vargas DHing - this is a lineup worth watching in September, not just today but the rest of the way. / edit - my only change would be Parmelee instead of Schafer, and that amounts merely to a disagreement with the Twins over which player we want to see whether he can be more than he seems - and the likely answer is "neither one" I don't think Parmelee is doomed for DFA. I think he has been labeled "bench player" however. As we all know, anybody who makes the 25-man will get playing time. Escobar went from pigeonholed as a utility guy to getting in excess of 400 PAs. As for Schafer, the Twins have to decide whether they will offer him a contract. As I said on another thread, although we all expect regression, Schafer has been very, very good.

Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted September 4, 2014 Author Posted September 4, 2014 It's good to see that Pinto can still hit the ball. Let's put that "handling a pitching staff" school into overdrive.
big dog Verified Member Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 Young Josmil has really flattened a couple of balls tonight.
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 If Pinto hits .340 again this September, then I think we should call him up every September!

stringer bell Verified Member Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 Does anyone get the feeling that the Twins have scored all the runs they will score already?
big dog Verified Member Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 Anybody?Sorry, it's a great question but I was listening to the radio in the car during the first.

Based on the rest of the roster I would rather see Schafer over Parmalee. But then again I always like seeing speed on the bench.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted September 4, 2014 Author Posted September 4, 2014 And I was putting the meatloaf in the oven. When my wife says she is making meat loaf... I always ask for three and she makes two... To which... I reply?
Don't Feed the Greed Guy Verified Member Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 not going to touch that one...

big dog Verified Member Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 I am not a fan of Viciedo overall, but man can he hit a ball hard. Here's a thought- May pitches a lot better with the bases empty. He should quit putting runners on. Maybe I'll call the dugout and tell them.
