Jerr Verified Member Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 I'm going to light the grill. It's been fun. Things turning white here, again as the snow falls:cry:
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 3, 2014 Author Posted April 3, 2014 Turning off computer, leaving work to get the kids....you're all welcome for me staying until the time at which I am allowed to leave by my fifteen bosses (and thanks for the great game thread). Thanks Limestone... You the Man!
Richie the Rally Goat Community Moderator Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 where were Hicks and Willingham, backing up 2nd base on the foul/fair pop up in the 9th?
longstrangetrip Verified Member Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 So......Gardy still has a chance of getting to 1000 wins, right? (I was starting to worry a little...)
glunn Community Moderator Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 Nice win and good game thread. Thanks, all.
Jerr Verified Member Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 where were Hicks and Willingham, backing up 2nd base on the foul/fair pop up in the 9th? Looking for the clowns????
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 3, 2014 Author Posted April 3, 2014 Normally when I am at work I will follow a box score, and maybe check a game thread. The last couple of days for some reason, I have only been following the game thread. It is kind of interesting, and at times maybe a little disturbing, to try and figure out what is going on solely by the comments of the people here. That is Chaotically beautiful.
Gibby Provisional Member Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 Things turning white here, again as the snow falls:cry: Yeah, it's still raining here, but I've been dry aging these steaks for a while, and dammit, I'm going to enjoy the whole process.
kydoty Verified Member Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 All three games being a contest of who wanted to lose more. Yuck!

Ultima Ratio Verified Member Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 As I've said all along, this offense is a powder keg.
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 So, just as we all thought going into the season, the starting pitching is worse than last year, the bullpen is really tough, Zuke-sie and Kubel should hit 2 and 3 to lead an offense that will put up 6+ per game, and Willingham will be the best defensive outfielder.

LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 And that, folks, is Clown Car Baseball™.And the series was a good object lesson in how hard it is to lose 100+ games. There are games where you get outplayed (Monday) and games you should win but manage to lose (yesterday), but then there are the games like today that you deserve to lose but end up Escobarring your way into a win anyway. Love that Cola is Arcia's translator, btw.
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 Baseball is a strange game.Ain't it though. Wonderfully, fantastically, mesmerizingly strange.

(I am curious what Fox Sports North will decide what to keep in, and what to edit in their 2 hour condensed version of the game).

NoCryingInBaseball Verified Member Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 Was at a bar watching the game so I didn’t have an opportunity to share my comments. This was an amazing game. The twins were ahead by a good margin then lost it when Swarzak tried to give the game away…then a wonderful come-from-behind victory. Everything I enjoy about a good ballgame!
Monkeypaws Verified Member Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 1-2 looks so so much better than 0-3. A win next game and it's a fresh slate.
snepp Verified Member Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 Not much I love more than beating the white Sox.
