  1. I can't either, but it would be fun for a few seconds before the count got to 0-2.
  2. Will we see Byron Buxton pinch hit for Jeffers the next time he comes up?!?!?!
  3. That was a bad call, but he swung at some garbage earlier and missed. The Twins struck out 6 times in a row at one point today. Again: it was a bad call. But that call isn't the reason the Twins are down 3-2. Let's be reasonable here.
  4. The key words: "strike 3". Gotta get the ball in play. Twins are lucky they're still in this one the way they've swung the bats.
  5. Well Kep, this could be your last at bat as a Twin. Let's see something here.
  6. After a team-record low 3 hits last night. At home. Going against the bottom of the Houston rotation.
  7. One thing's for sure: another run by Houston and this ballgame is over.
  8. Here I was thinking Solano would be light years better than AK in the lineup today. He's been awful.
  9. Can't hit a 2-run homer unless someone gets on base. How are these guys so fooled by a guy with a bum arm and a 5.50 ERA?
  10. Twins hitters are down 0-1 and 0-2 every single AB. Brutal.
  11. Jeffers has been horrific this series. Honestly if he doesn't get a hit here I think Rocco has to pinch hit for him (as long as a righty is throwing) his next AB.
  12. Do the Twins let Paddack go another inning? Why not let him take a crack at Alvarez? What's there to lose?
  13. This is a good point. A 3-1 game, even in the 9th, is within reach. It doesn't feel like it right now, but at least we might see Bux come up with a chance for drama. Sure, it probably won't end well....but if the Astros tack on some runs, most of us don't even watch the 9th.
  14. We have notoriously low expectations, that's why.
  15. The question is will the Twins set a record for strikeouts in a playoff game? Urquidy goes 9 and strikes out 20 Twins maybe?
  16. And boom goes the dynamite. Thielbar is officially the goat of the series. What a horrific effort.
  17. Geez man, sorry to hear it. In August I was struck down with vertigo so bad that I couldn't even unload the dishwasher without having to lie down. It's been plaguing me for months and still don't have any real answers. Tests, tests, and more tests. Like you it's been nice to have at least something to distract once in a while. Get well soon man, one day at a time!
  18. Bring in Theilbar, who gave up a HR to Alvarez in Game 1, to pitch to....Alvarez? What did we think would happen? Guy's on the roster to get lefties out. Has not done the job this postseason.
  19. Incredibly embarrassing to see this. Just disgusting and deflating. I don't see how this team has a chance at this point when nobody can even put the ball in play.
  20. 4th Strikeout in a row? This is a major concern.
  21. I'd send Stewart out to at least start the 4th.
  22. Rocco & Falvine's spreadsheet said to pull him. For realz.
  23. The pitching change reeks of desperation. The Astros smell blood.
  24. The Twins are so conservative with pitching - taking Ryan out after 2 innings, for example....yet with hitting, they're like "just close your eyes and swing, boys"! I don't get how a team has zero emphasis on putting the ball in play.
