  1. No audio. I think this was a test by John to see who is really listening to his reports.
  2. The Twins should look at their opponent for that particular day as being their biggest rival. One day at a time, one game at a time, one win at a time.
  3. I have enjoyed the audio/video reports from the fort and I'll be there for a week starting this Sunday. I'll be looking for John Boones walking around the stadium during the game, talking to himself. If I see John doing that, I'm going to jump in front of the camera to say hello to all you TD readers, er, watchers. By the way, somebody (cough, cough, Eddie Julien) contacted me and asked me to check on Jorge Polanco's status for him. I haven't seen where Polanco has played in a game yet. I may have missed it, if he did, but I have an excuse. I have been practicing walking around my house, recording into my phone, while the Twins have been playing. I'm in training for my spring training video reports from the fort.
  4. The Dodgers will want the best SS which they can get. The Twins will want the best left-handed hitting corner OF which they can get. Maybe a trade can be worked out.
  5. The Twins need to have better results in analyzing information and/or providing information about the 5th draft pick in this 2023 draft. Sabato and Cavaco have not performed well at all and I hope the Twins can learn some things from these drafts.
  6. Or the Twins could take LSU pitcher/1B Paul Skenes at # 5 in the draft and have the second-best college pitcher in the draft and a power hitting 1B. Mark my words and mark them well, Paul Skenes is the next Ohtani.
  7. Great theme song. I vote we add it before all audio presentations. Or not.
  8. Beautiful memories Melissa. Add to the 57 Braves, Johnny Logan at SS and Bill Bruton at CF, who were solid fielders. Then add Ernie Johnson at RP. Ernie became better known later, as the much-loved, long-time Atlanta Braves announcer. Add Dave Jolly at RP. Dave was from Stoney Point, North Carolina in the county next to where I grew up. He was a product of playing on some mill teams in North Carolina, along with fellow North Carolinian, Hoyt Wilhelm. Dave died at age 38 from complications of a brain tumor. His widow worked in the Register of Deeds office in the adjacent county for a number of years. Finally, who could forget 6'8" pitcher, Gene Conley, who played basketball for the Boston Celtics in the baseball off-season. As the song says: "Those were the days my friend, we thought they'd never end."
  9. Mike, I would rank the importance of positions as ff: 1) C; 2) SS 3) CF 4) 2B; 5) 3B 6) RF 7) 1B 8) LF 9) in honor of that great fielding pitcher, multiple Gold Glove winning, Hall of Famer, Jim "Kitty" Kaat, I am going to include the position of pitcher as the ninth most important fielding position in his honor. Catcher is the most important defensive position because, as you stated, pitching is the key to success. The catcher affects pitching tremendously with the catcher's pitch selection, strategy, knowledge of his pitcher's strengths and weaknesses, and the batter's strengths and weaknesses, attention to possible injuries which may be causing the pitcher problems. prevents stolen bases with a quick, accurate release and a strong arm, and as the rules stand now, with his sneaky pitch framing. Catcher is the most important defensive position.
  10. I hope Pagan has a great season for the Twins and surprises 99% of us at TD. I'm pulling for him.
  11. This is a sad article. But such is life sometimes for each of us. "For of all sad words of tongue or pen, The saddest are these: "It might have been!"
  12. Last season I proposed that Arraez play DH the most. I guess the FO listened.
  13. Pitching will be the key to the Twins success this season.
  14. Interesting article Cody. Thank you.
  15. I'm a big fan of Noah Miller. I hope he can become an average hitter for a SS. He is a super fielder.
  16. I predict the top prospect for the Twins in 2025 will be Paul Skenes.
  17. All of us at Twins daily are here for you, Corbin. 24/7.
  18. The Brewer/Burnes arbitration has brewed into a bruhaha with a brooding, feuding pitcher possibly bidding adieu to you know who.
  19. Warren Zevon ? Awesome name from the past.
  20. We do have nice depth. But maybe the FO should sign one more left-handed hitting corner OF. LOL.
