I see a pattern with this Twins team .... The Twins get swept. By royals , win series against a better ten , the cardinals , sweep even a better team the snake and are in jeopardy of losing this series ... It seems we play better against better teams than the teams below 500 .... Does that mean we have a chance in the playoffs ... My hope has just risen .... -
St. Paul saints ... I posted last night in thread that saints were starting 3 first round draft choices , 1 , 2 and 3 in the batting order , Lewis , Lee and larnach .... Another first rounder is on saints in Martin , all sounds exciting on paper but you just never know .... Larnach should go to driveline this winter and work on his off speed approach , last chance For larnach if he doesn't improve on off speed for 2023 , otherwise he is just going to be a bench player pinch hitting ...

The clear flaws ... Make contact or strikeout , I'm not buying it .... I've watched other teams collect consecutive hits and walks, HBP , passed balls to score runs against our pitching , we've seen how our offense was in 2019 - 20 playoffs , swinging for the fences against elite pitching and we were eliminate ( skunked ) ... The Twins don't just need homeruns , they just need to make contact and hit and hit to the opposite field to move runners along and score ... We got till October to work on it as I have seen some improvements from some of the batters ....

Disappointed final , We need to be better in games against better pitchers ,,, Playoffs will kill us if we can't beat better pitching ...

To be on the fast track in Minnesota , you have to be a waiver , dfa or a dumpster diver veteran player .... Our prospects don't get moved this fast ....

I don't know what to expect the FO to do ... Kepler has a .233 career batting average ( is that acceptable with his defense , and some say his defense is diminishing ) , Kepler had a career year in 2019 with a .252 average . He has never hit before or after 2019 , his previous high average was .243 in 2017 he has not been a consistent hitter or a clutch hitter since 2019 , like his defense all these years ( nothing but raindrops falls ) .. I'm glad Kepler has found some success but Kepler has always been a streaky hitter ,,, Everyone calling for him to be traded or dfa'd this year but now the tune has changed since the allstar break , WAY TO GO MAX , keep riding the high road please ... If the Twins resign Kepler , I hope we don't go back to demanding he gets dfa'd or traded , one year is enough ...

Good game last night .... Good start exploding for runs in first three inning and Lopez pitched well with the pressure off ... Speaking of pressure , since the deadline the pressure seems to be off the players to win the division as Cleveland has almost conceded the division to the Twins as sellers .... Still In the game of baseball you have to hit and score runs to win ... I look at the stats and see things that need to improve after 114 games , no one has over 100 hits but a few have exceeded 100 strikeouts , Correa leads the team with 52 rbi's , Buxton leads the team in runs scored with 49 , Correa leads with 24 doubles , Kepler leads club with 17 homeruns , speed kills and Castro leads team with 28 stolen bases .... The hits , runs have to keep on coming , since the Allstar game they have improved ( except the royals series ) and I hope they can maintain the course and be hungry for the division .... Getting hot at the right time is a plus and I still would like a 10 plus game winning streak ...

5 game winning streaks , only 5 more and I can consider them contenders in the playoffs ... I want a ten game winning streak and have emphasis that for along time now .

Position player pitching for Detroit ... If the Twins ever get blown out ( it could happen ) , wallner might be the position player pitching , he pitched in college and has the arm for it ....

I think we have a safe lead , Moran would be ideal to pitch tonight if he wasn't in AAA because he walks to many .... Sure hope he gets his control under control ...

Crazy , I missed the first 2 innings and find out the Twins have exploded for 7 runs , then score another in 3rd inning ... 8-0 , am I dreaming ????

Looks like Cleveland for laureano .... missed it by thhhhhhhat much .... I think he would have been a better choice over Luplow , plays defense well with a good arm , injuries and suspension has hurt him for regular playing time ....
