    That’s two AB in a row where Buxton’s been healthy!! My prediction: Buxton stays healthy as long as Lynn is pitching. Maybe longer.

    It seems unfathomable that it could ever get to the point where it would make sense for the Twins to trade pitching for hitting. But we might be there…or headed in that direction. My how the tables have turned. Still, you’re not trading Ryan anytime soon.

    Fwiw…I actually think they played better in the split against Seattle, than they did in the sweep against Oakland. Oakland so bad, it didn’t matter.

    I think the best solution is to play him at DH. If you’re going to take him out up 2 in the top of the seventh, why not up 3-4 in the top of the 6th inning?? Too many opportunities for the opponent to score legitimate runs.

    The score was just 3-3. What if the game had remained 3-3 through 9…do we wish we had not removed Julien yet? Or are we still loving Farmer at 2nd and MAT in the two hole?

    Thomas…call me crazy, but the ridiculous splits are NOT good. In 75% of situations he has very little value (negative considering defense?) Tough to justify over 162 games with the way 26-man rosters work these days. In certain playoff series, certainly would be nice to have, though…platooning/replacing Gallo probably, or Kepler…not Kirilloff. I’d rather he be a cheap rental, actually. Hernandez makes the most sense to me. But, I’m not liking the idea of any buy deals that cost anything more than lottery tickets this year. On the other hand, there are some sell candidates where I would happily take a lottery ticket or two in return.
