Kepler is traded as part of a package for Archer during the season.

It's also worth mentioning that Mauer needs 8.9 more WAR to be the all-time Twins WAR leader, which one could argue would make Mauer the greatest Twins player of all time.  It's a difficult, but not impossible, achievement to obtain for the almost-35-year-old.

nothing against joe mauer (or respy), but worth mentioning in a similar vein: two more number-one songs would arguably make mariah carey the greatest recording artist of all time.
