Alot of        beat writers    think Jeffers  Defense or lack of it is why no-one made a decent offer , Yankees didnt think  he was an upgrade over what they have ,  I.D.K. ?

Not buying that. They could make Jeffers play without a mitt and he’d have more value than the guys they’re playing. More likely the Pohlads simply didn’t have the balls to trade him…because you know…buying not selling is what the masses wanted. Possible but less likely, they plan on QO’ing him and think he’ll take it.

FYI for the local Minnesotans - Jalapenos served by Chipotle and other Mexican fast food restaurants appear as the source of a salmonella outbreak that has sickened 110 people in Minnesota so far.

Dang, Thanks. My kids go there all the time.

I was thinking that it might be tough for Pablo to make any type of comment that could be considered negative due to being on the team.

That was my thought when someone commented complaining on why he was praising Joe Ryan, even when he was struggling on the mound.  As a current teammate, what are you supposed to say?

Bell and Royce have all our hits. I shouldn't be looking at box scores mid game..

I am not sure he should be the only analyst, he needs to be a third member.  I do like listening to him, but he is going to be even worse than Morneau when it comes to homerism.

True...my point..awkward to be in the booth when any questionable comment could produce a challenge...even giving advice...

Yeah, that 12.2 pecent caught stealing would impress anyone; better known as - Run at Will.

A serious team doesnt have Roden and Kreidler in the lineup. Not to mention refusing to have a back up center fielder since Buxton will never be healthy

I think Kreidler can absolutely be your 25th or 26th man. I like his defense at least at SS and in cf. But yeah, Culpepper and Jenkins coming up covers those spots better than they currently have on the major league team.

Still figuring out where Roden fits. Not certain he does yet

Yep.  He can be the secondary analyst in the booth deep diving into pitching mechanics, explaining PFP, things like that.  Someone still has to be there to praise and criticize the game play when it is not correct.

Buxton may need to start passing the baton

Roden doesnt fit, we have enough players that can't fit. Same with Kreidler. Yet the organization loves keeping these make a wish players around for some reason.

I have seen the rule of thumb that OPS should be reduced by .150 points from AAA numbers.  Well Sabato is at .935 currently, wouldn't that then translate to a .800 OPS up here, asking for a friend.

Perkins does it...but Pablo is a real rookie

And this is why we will continue to be a .500 team with half measures.

I do think Buxton moving to a corner next season also could be a topic of conversation. For this year, hopefully he can get to where his hip feels good enough where he can hit

True, but other than Buxton and Taylor Rogers, Perkins has no direct connection to the current team.  A lot easier to disseminate and criticize game play when you are nearly a decade separated from it.  Pablo is still active on the team.
