There was nothing wrong with his positioning, the runner had space, he just didn't get his foot all the way over.  The bashing of Lewis while some is deserved is getting over the top.

I wasn’t trying to bash him, you’re right. It just looked to be in a dangerous spot but the angle, I guess he couldn’t do much else

Not should have been by rule or by not trying to get a broken ankle? I’ve never been a major leaguer but I was always told it shouldn’t be where his was if you can avoid it
