Not selling high on Lopez, Jeffers, Ryan and/or Buxton would be the worst move possible. Will it really be thrilling to watch a 74 win team knowing that we've let future chances for impact players just slip away? Yuck.

There is no core left. Get on with this rebuild now. This ratty, bloody band-aid is dangling - tear it off and let's get on with a new era of Twins baseball.

Sell...sell..trade...trade.....go down to one million in team salary...and go 2-160, setting a never to be broken losing record.  Might as well shoot for the best...er...um... worst, which they are obviously trying to do.  My input helps them get there much faster!  There...give me a $10  million a year salary for being g.m. for 8 years (Minny teams like long term contracts that go bust), with a signing bonus of $1 million (don't want to be too greedy ya know😉), and all years are guaranteed (being I will be fired after the first all-star break next year)!  Bingo....or Yatze (both great names for dogs 🐶)!!!

I think the Twins are in paralysis mode right now. With the minority owners not on board yet, the payroll isn’t set yet. I don’t think Falvey wants to go full rebuild bc he will be kicked to the curb when the losses pile up. He wants to compete this year to save his hide. Pohlads won’t green light a higher payroll than where it’s at now, so Falvey will basically stand pat this year. Standing pat is his mo anyway.

Collusion? If the Twins could sign Alonso, Realmuto, and two relievers for a total of $20M, each on 2/$5M per year contracts they might do it. Then again maybe that is too much money for this year.

Who would you sign this year or what trades or DFA pickups would you suggest this winter for the Twins?

I don’t play fantasy GM

You can say sell high. Falvey has even at one point said he would sell high.  Why does the concept that teams are not buying high never crosses some peoples cerebral cortex?

Motel 6 never provides more than coffee in the morning.  Speaking from years of experience here.

Being an old time hotel guy who competed with Motel 6 over the years, all this Motel 6 talk brought a big smile to my face.  With all the talk about Falvey staying at Motel 6 while in Orlando, I decided to check if the chain does have a property there.

Considering Orlando/DisneyWorld is a huge destination, found there three Motel 6's in the Orlando area.  But here is the biggest shock people, their rates range between $56 and $99.  Had many discussions back in the early 70's whether it was wise to include a price in our name.  Guess the '6' no longer means what it did in 1971.  But I bet they'll still keep a light on for ya!

I should have posted this earlier.  My bet is optimism about the Twins increases after the winter meetings.

1. I'll make a bold prediction the Twins end up with a top 2 pick in the draft lotter.   Odds are around 40% this happens.

2. They end up with a player in the rule 5 draft that most are pretty optimistic about.

3.  The Twins do not trade one of the big 3 (with a caveat unless it actually looks like would help the team this year massive overpay situation) - effectively where most would be positive with the trade.

4.  Makes good progress on bullpen.  I am expecting 1 move trade or signing in the winter meetings - waiting on further moves later.

Please stop pushing Paul Goldsmidt.  The writers on here seem to love him despite the fact he is clearly cooked.  He had a huge hot start to year last year then was terrible for a month, and then below average for a couple of months to close out well below average again.  He would have been negative WAR player if not for his crazy hot months to start season.
