In the past 15 years, the closest example I could find was 2019 Trevor Hildenberger, who got to pitching 16.1 innings at an alarming 10.47 ERA. Good gracious.

I guessed Mike trombley in his return to the twins in 2002. His was over 15 but only had 4 IP. I remember the giambi slam game, that’s why 😂 the Yankees still replay that game on their network

What on earth is going on with Bader’s hat?

TV guys said it's bug spray.

This is embarrassing. Twice in a week. Use a real pitcher, saving an inning isn’t worth the shame. Game became a non competitive top of 5 when the genius sent SWR back out to the mound.

Wallners  moonshot pop ups remind ya of anyone --hint  .J.G.

Juan Gonzales?

Harmon Killebrew hit 'major league' pop ups also.

Halsey Hall called them 'major league' pop ups.

Turning it off, don’t need to see a guy throwing 17 mph because we’re losing so badly

He's throw 74mph and a scoreless 14 pitch inning.

He really threw that hard? Didn’t watch it. But that’s admirable. It’s become slow pitch softball when the position guys get in.

Alcala's face told it all......he gone!  Can't present a poopy -pants look and expect to stay.

He should be gone but seems to have a guardian angel in the front office.

Jeff McNeil walks off the Nats.  Mets win 5-4.

Back in my Chicago days, when Harry had that illness and guest announcers took his place, one day Bill Murray called the Mets "worse than Communism."  I still nearly wet myself recalling that moment. 😂

Trying to revisit the last Rangers adventure

Patzky,

Love you man, but can you please switch out that awful emblem--it's reminiscent of something I might have seen in a fevered dream during the summer of 1968! How about a bucolic scene of some sort? The verdant hilltop at Machu Picchu might be nice.

Loved loved loved Mets-Cubs rivalry back 80s with Harry.  I was in college and got WGN and WOR on cable in South Dakota.  Getting WOR and about 150 Met games made me a Met fan.  I got Mets on TV (not TC) so listen TC while watch Mets.

Best opening line in TV a commercial to sell tickets when Dennis Franz says "What's a Met?"

Twins don't appear ready to cut ties with Alcala. Seems like they have tunnel vision with his 'stuff' and 'potential'. Sometimes - what you see is what you get. Look at his performances over the last two seasons and there should be flashing bright lights. He needs to go...especially if you're going to have Festa and SWR (or someone else) at the back of the rotation. They can't afford to have a non-playable pitcher in the bullpen right now.

Gleeman:
Jorge Alcala has a 7.77 ERA in 41 appearances since August 1 of last season, allowing 38 earned runs in 44 innings.

I bet that stretch began against these same Rangers.

Malpractice having him on the roster.
