tony&rodney Verified Member Posted May 27, 2025 Posted May 27, 2025 Love the way the Rays play. Beautiful play by Correa. The execution on that relay was simply wonderful baseball. Patzky and Blyleven2011 2
HarmonK03 Verified Member Posted May 27, 2025 Posted May 27, 2025 Wallner just hit another HR, get him to Tampa and in our lineup. Quit wasting his AB's in St. Paul. Patzky, Twins_Fan_in_NJ, USAFChief and 2 others 5

Western SD Fan Verified Member Posted May 27, 2025 Posted May 27, 2025 Per MLB.com: I'd prefer this approach vs what the team did to Lewis and rush him back. Especially since we seem to have a dearth of outfielders that can actually play the outfield at the moment. Wallner said he expects to play at least a couple more games on his rehab assignment after Sunday. The club’s stated preference is for Wallner to play back-to-back full games before he is activated, so one plausible scenario would be for him to play Tuesday and Wednesday before joining the Twins on Friday in Seattle during the second part of the upcoming road trip.

If he can play, he should be up here with the Twins. He has 3 HR's in 13 AB's. You are just wasting him in St. Paul USAFChief and Blyleven2011 2

Western SD Fan Verified Member Posted May 28, 2025 Posted May 28, 2025 I'll reiterate that I'd rather have an OF that we are sure can actually play the outfield. There are already too many DH's and infielders playing in the outfield. With Bader down and uncertainty surrounding Buxton's return, I'd rather be on the side of someone that we can be more certain about putting into the field. RpR, Doc Lenz, Patzky and 1 other 4
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted May 28, 2025 Posted May 28, 2025 Wallner's rehab, with this offense, is stupid.
Patzky Old-Timey Member Posted May 28, 2025 Posted May 28, 2025 That's more of the Joe Ryan Experience I like.

David HK Verified Member Posted May 28, 2025 Posted May 28, 2025 What an amazing coincidence! And what rotten luck-- nearly every night, the Twins run into a pitcher with the first name "Cy!" How often could that happen?!? USAFChief, Blyleven2011 and Patzky 3

Wouldn't having an actual outfielder help alleviate that problem.
