Not a great game. Twins played several MiL pitchers. Not sure who all the Pirates players were. And then there was the typical bases loaded, one out situation where the Twins scored one run … because the pitcher of the other team hit a batter when bases were loaded, not because anyone got a situational hit. Pretty boring game all in all. But I’ll give it a go again tomorrow.

How many games left for you in attendance? If they finish below .500 with you in the crowd, I’m not sure we can allow you to see them live in the regular season

3. But the only games I will see them in person during the season is against the White Sox. No amount of curse will be enough for the White Sox to pull off a win

Over 25% K rate.  Not too bad.

Sure.

For comparison, the average MLB team got 8 hits per game last season.  If our batters got 9 one particular day, I'm not sure that's the stat I would use in a one-sentence summary..

That's all I was really saying; the 11 sounds great until put into the context of an overall lousy game.

When you face 43 batters (if I added correctly), 11 K isn't really an impressive number.

Let's see

35 AB's + 7 BB's + 2 SF's - 1 GIDP for 43.

- 1 GIDP

Wait... I don't follow this. Does a GIDP count as two atbats or something?

I could see if we were starting with runs to figure it out, but not when starting with atbats... Also apparently hit by pitches happened too.

Anyway, i went and added the individual pitchers' batters faced number from the bottom of the box score and got 47.

Your method is much more efficient and accurate. Mine was more colorful but wrong. I was just trying to confirm Ash's number and I am not afraid to jam things together to make them fit in support of Ash.

Now take that 47 add the attendance 4,933... add the average wind speed of 7 and finish by adding the area code of Tombstone Arizona and then turn the calculator upside down and it adds up to.

I'm glad those numbers added up.  What I did is looked at the Batters Faced in the pitching section.  Same as SSo1, so maybe I misadded.

We will keep close tabs on this. But so far a -11 run differential isn’t helping the cause!

Twins rank 29th (ChiSox #30) in most of the offensive categories. I know it is only ST but why the slow starts every year? Boring to watch.

Today is a welcome tonic, then.  Although Wallner has turned a good start into a slow start this spring, with today's 0-for-4.  Small Sample Size brings lots of hawt taeks!
