edit: to be fair, I can't say the Twins didn't try the same waiver claims. I believe KC was behind the Twins in the standings at the time of the Grossman/Pham pickups, so they would have gotten the waiver claim ahead of the Twins.

But let's just say I'm skeptical the Twins were willing to take on salary.

Lewis needs to be the priority here.

Just set Lewis at a position and let him learn it. He was drafted as a SS. He can be an adequate third baseman. Jacking him around is just stupid.

Who's he supposed to start? Helman, Lee, Keirsey Jr., Jeffers and Castro is the bench. None of those guys, especially with Castro's struggles against lefties, scream "play me".
