What should the budget be for salary. How much do you think they should spend? How about last years budget to start? As to the roster, put one on the field that can win it all. The end. jaimedude 1
TwinsCD Verified Member Posted July 30, 2024 Posted July 30, 2024 I'd imagine the Mets pitching braintrust spent about 3 minutes on tonight's scouting report -- just do the same thing as last night.
exeoud Verified Member Posted July 30, 2024 Posted July 30, 2024 The vibe around this team is absolutely dreadful right now. Patzky and USAFChief 2

USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted July 30, 2024 Posted July 30, 2024 Nice play Lee. Pretty clearly better than Castro at SS. gregens and Parfigliano 2

Sure, but unless they got another front line starter or middle of the order bat, he could watch the other team celebrate after sweeping the Twins in the first round with the other seven. No way the community here would be in good spirits if he was the sole prize this afternoon. It's easy to rank guys like Richards or Chafin or Lorenzen but they're all still just varying degrees of 'you didn't do enough to win'.
jaimedude Verified Member Posted July 30, 2024 Posted July 30, 2024 Buxton could use a dose of plate discipline, and needs to stop chasing so many pitches out of strike zone.
Patzky Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2024 Posted July 30, 2024 Bats can't get up to Manaea's high stuff. Good to see Lee run.
TwinsCD Verified Member Posted July 30, 2024 Posted July 30, 2024 Trev, don't be praising Buxton's lower strikout rate during his at-bat until he, I don't know, doesn't strike out in that at-bat.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2024 Posted July 30, 2024 Wouldn’t a postseason run bring in a lot of money for our wealthy owner? I don’t really understand the idea of always being unwilling to spend to make the team better. Is he happy with being 23rd in attendance? CRF 1

Obviously not, my suggestion was quite the opposite. If the reliever had been Chafin instead of Richards they didn't do enough. But as expected. A D- deadline day grade isn't more satisfactory than an F deadline day grade. Without increasing the payroll, they had no shot at doing enough.
