Patzky Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2024 Posted July 30, 2024 Didn't want the BB huh Royce? It's the same pitch that was called ball 3 in the same spot.

You honestly think there are no better options than the those players? You changed your post entirely since I last quoted it. Sure. We can upgrade Thielbar.

IndianaTwin Verified Member Posted July 30, 2024 Posted July 30, 2024 I gather that there are mixed reviews of Perkins on TV, but I've been enjoying him on radio. And that's not just because the alternative is Gladden -- Perkins is actually enjoyable (and insightful). He also has a command of the English language. Vanimal46 1
TwinsCD Verified Member Posted July 30, 2024 Posted July 30, 2024 Buxton still parked on first base thru 2 AB's. He should be chilling in the dugout and the score should be 6-2. USAFChief 1

This is one of the worst savant pages I've ever seen. That's an indictment on the hitting coaches for whatever garbage plan they came up with going into this game and it's on the hitters for not seeing it in the very first inning like some of us did. I said it 2 weeks ago and I'll keep saying it -- I'd never throw any of our young players a fastball because they can't recognize off-speed pitches and do anything with them. Not the first time I've wondered about this. Rocco always says they need to adjust. The curveball is a new invention I guess.. should see a new arm in the 7th.

Was just about to say the same thing, not sure why anyone throws this team a fastball. The newer pitching machines let you program breaking balls into them but I'm sure those are far too expensive for Mr. Pohlad. Patzky 1

cheeseheadgophfan Verified Member Posted July 30, 2024 Posted July 30, 2024 It sure doesn't look like it was very expensive (prospect wise) for the Astros to acquire Kikuchi, the Cardinals to acquire Fedde or the Dodgers to get Kopech. All 3 would look good in a Twins uniform.....
