It is good enough to divert our attention from Margot and Farmer's batting.  I really am enjoying Kepler's success and Larnach coming through.  I still hope we will be seeing Wallner again soon.

And Sands is a revelation.  I did not see this coming either.  Hurray.

Glad to have Alcala in the pen again.

Does our perception of Alcala’s outing change if Angel Hernandez correctly rules on that check swing and he gets out of the inning with a strikeout?

2 hits and a walk in 2/3 of an inning or in full inning……,,,that’s a lot of activity.

Kepler may have hit the go ahead HR but his biggest moment of the day was perfectly reading Smith's line drive high off the RF wall and easily throwing him out at second, turning what was inches from a HR into an out. Made a tough read look easy.

Nice start from Pablo, Boston made him work but still managed 6 innings of 1 run ball.

12 wins in a row hasn't been achieved by any Twins team since 1991. It's got to the stage where it really doesn't matter who our opponents were or are during this streak. That's over 30 years ago and that team won the World Series.

If you go back through history teams with 10+win streaks have an excellent outcome to their season!!!

I suppose, somewhat. Hernandez was wrong on the check swing call, but it's only a big deal because of Angel's miserable reputation. It was not the worst call of the game.

Alcalá has had far too many outings where he throws 15-20 excellent pitches and two or three batting practice fastballs or hung breaking balls for me to trust him. Maybe it's all my perception, but he isn't a guy I trust.

I don't trust Theilbar.

I was slow to join the Jax bandwagon, so maybe I'll regret not jumping right onto Cole Sands's either.  He retired the number 7, 8, 9 batters in the BoSox order yesterday.  Lots of pitchers can't accomplish such a feat.  Still, I'm not ready to say he's ready to be a closer or even necessarily a high-leverage arm just yet.  Promising results so far, and the basis to keep feeding him opportunities of increasing difficulty and leverage.

True. Although that 69 mph single doesn’t happen as the inning is over if the swing is called correctly earlier in that at bat.
