Was thinking the same also about feeling bad for the Sox, but then I remember so many Twins loses like this

The worst start I remember was 2016 and that team was 4 games ahead of this Sox team after 23 games

In the Twins situation, no such thing as a bad win (as long as Lopez is ok). Desperately need to stay alive until MAYBE they start playing better.

Larnach has been a savior…and maybe Buxton goes on one of his 2-week hot streaks. Whatever it takes, please.

Yes you are.  Next you will be saying "I really don't hate the Yankees."

It's not like I want them to go 3-159 for the year.  They are allowed to beat the Yankees a few times.   Maybe take a series in Houston, too.  But 0-13 vs the Twins would be great.  If we let them stay close and then rip their hearts out a few times, that would be fine, although I'd like a few blowouts thrown in, too.

In a tie game it's probably the right play. He has to be thinking about going 47 innings of Manfred man.

I sort of do, too. Listening to their post game show. Poor Ozzie.

I don’t think it’s good for baseball to have so many really really bad teams. A team challenging the all time loss record. Especially one that was a playoff team a couple years back, and one that wants a new stadium. I have a friend who works in their front office. It’s got to be miserable

Why wasn’t Martin pinch hitting there?

Nice comeback - have to sweep this series. But, yeah. Why is Marting pinch running for Santana instead of hitting for Vasquez? Makes no sense to me. A win's a win, though.

There are more games to go, do not get cocky over one win.

Why? People get miserable over a loss why can’t we enjoy a win? We will likely have fewer wins than losses this year, so I say enjoy it.

I agree. And the Sox are not getting a new stadium, not one funded by the people here as Reinsdorf wants. He hasn’t even paid off his bonds yet on the current one. And with the Bears competing for public money on a new stadium, they are likely to get it first. The Sox are the last on the totem pole for getting anything toward a new stadium. And I really hope the Bears stadium doesn’t go through. They want half paid for by the public. No way. Every city and state official that would agree to that will lose their jobs
