I don’t expect him to be a great hitter…but I do expect him to do damage on that pitch. He’s been a very good cripple masher in the past. But, it’s been a while now.

Varland pitches batting practice, and Baldelli leaves him in for probably 100 pitches. (with luck it will be 94, I hope)

SWR is pitching fine....... and could go into the 7th, and he is pulled at 80. 

Makes sense to me.

Any time someone can throw 98 almost 90 pitches into the game, that’s impressive 

The raw stuff is there and so is the movement but he just doesn’t come anywhere close to spotting the ball where it’s supposed to be and more often than not it’s left over the heart of the plate 

Any good hitter is going to hit that stuff.

Not sure about the movement part. Gets squared up at an alarming rate.
