Also two sounds, which normally would be a hit batter, and catcher's glove. This time it was catcher's glove and ump's pad, i think.

IndianaTwin Verified Member Posted March 28, 2024 Posted March 28, 2024 Carlos did not ground into a double play, by the way. Of note is that he also seemed to get down the line much more comfortably than he did a year ago. AussieG and danielp19653 2

HBP is a dead ball, in all situations, isn't it? So shouldn't the motivation be to go if the ball gets far away from the catcher, since you'll risk little and if it's HBP they'll just call you back to third?

But the decision to run/not run when a ball gets past the catcher is on the runner.

I would agree only other thing I can think of is the angle the ball bounced it may have been behind Perez from the third base view. Since Julien was spinning away he couldn't motion to come home right away and being a little slow he probably didn't want to get hosed with the middle of the order up
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted March 28, 2024 Posted March 28, 2024 How many Parez homers have been against the Twins again?
