I think Griffen Jax has proven he cannot pitch the 9th inning.

Tight zone all night and Jax didn’t challenge hitters. I thought maybe Grossman swung at the 3-2 pitch but the replay shows he didn’t.

The bullpen needs more arms. I think asking somebody like Funderburk to contribute is a huge stretch. Error—front office.

when you're asked to pitch the 9th in a tie game, your only job is to get the ball over the plate. Don't give the team extra AB's. Make them earn it.  Its a managers nightmare when he watches his guy struggle to find the plate. Manager has to pick the right guy for the job but the guy then has to earn his managers trust by at least throwing strikes,

Crappy way to end the game.  Not that 2 runs was going to do the trick, but man I'd rather see a HR beat you than whatever that cluster was in the 9th.

Should give Gallo's spot to Austin Martin or Celestino. Just bored with his approach at the plate. Gallo has almost become a cinch out in the batting order.

time to move Maeda to the bullpen, he has experience and can throw multiple quality innings especially when its tie or close

and FO should really get Martin up and get rid of Gallo and Luplow, these are no brainer moves.

Rocco rewarded MAT 2 straight bench games after a 2HRs game, just a terrible coach.

With Mad Max pitching...losing this game wasn't really a shock. It was the WAY we lost it that's so disgusting. The pen is going to be the absolute weak link in any hopes this team has going forward. Jax looked like he had turned it around a bit, but he was brutal last night. Throw a damn strike, for the hell of it! Also, I know what the analytics say...having him face the top of the Tx order and all that, but I still don't agree with Duran pitching the 8th...and he hasn't been all that great either. No one out there in the pen has been doing well, and that's going to doom this team. This FO needed to improve the pen at the deadline, and failed miserably.
