stringer bell Verified Member Posted August 23, 2023 Posted August 23, 2023 Regression to the mean for Ober. No one should expect him to carry a sub-3 ERA through an entire season.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted August 23, 2023 Posted August 23, 2023 Maybe Correa's problem this year has been his bats! wabene 1
Jocko87 Verified Member Posted August 23, 2023 Posted August 23, 2023 Correa seeing Miley well. Gonna need some new lumber.

If he’s burned out by august because of inning shortfalls over his career, then it’s another archer/bundy situation which is tough on the bullpen
RpR Verified Member Posted August 23, 2023 Posted August 23, 2023 Vazquez ties the game, glad he is playing tonight. Nine of twelve 1

RpR Verified Member Posted August 23, 2023 Posted August 23, 2023 It seems the umpire wants this to be as quick a game as possible.

Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted August 23, 2023 Posted August 23, 2023 Dick just said Farmer was Lewis. I am serious when I say that I fear Dick is experiencing early signs of cognitive decline. There have been numerous such stumbles this season. He seems to be in full command of his understanding of the game and so forth but I worry.

His heart just isn't in it. As I mentioned the other day, with the BSN contract up, Bremer aging, it seems to me a natural time for a change, no matter who has the Twins broadcasts next year. To be fair, the guy has had to watch some pretty mundane and frustrating baseball over the last few years. He can’t turn the game off like we can 😉
