How bout a hitter that can't maintain .400?

He hasn’t gone more than 5 innings in a month. If he’s burned out by august because of inning shortfalls over his career, then it’s another archer/bundy situation which is tough on the bullpen

That's what I thought too.  That isn't shocking to me at all.  Perhaps the timing, but I fully expected something to happen there.

Finalists for the White Sox top job: Hawk Harrelson and Tony LaRussa

It seems the umpire wants this to be as quick a game as possible.

The optimistic view would be that as he moves through his prime and keeps pitching incrementally more innings each year, you won't have to worry about this in future stretch runs.

Dick just said Farmer was Lewis. I am serious when I say that I fear Dick is experiencing early signs of cognitive decline. There have been numerous such stumbles this season. He seems to be in full command of his understanding of the game and so forth but I worry.

The only strike call out of the zone so far was strike 3 to Wallner, but, yes, so far everything on the edges has been called a strike.

Maybe he’s doing those left handed toasts a bit too soon 😉

Don't know about all that, but to me he's pretty clearly become bored with the whole thing. His heart just isn't in it.

As I mentioned the other day, with the BSN contract up, Bremer aging, it seems to me a natural time for a change, no matter who has the Twins broadcasts next year.

To be fair, the guy has had to watch some pretty mundane and frustrating baseball over the last few years. He can’t turn the game off like we can 😉

Frustrating to see Ober fail to finish off all these hitters after getting ahead.

Sort of a problem for the staff as a whole....
