Game Thread: Twins (Ryan) v Giants (DeSclafani) @ 12:10 CT, 5/24/23

Kiriloff having a tough day with the umpire. They did not show a replay of his check-swing but that is exactly the type of call you get when you show up the ump in the previous at bat. I understand his frustration with the first strikeout, but K-Zone showed both pitches were strikes. I'm sure his anger came from two perfect pitches the clipped the outside and inside edge. Young hitter, he will learn.

Giants fans can't be happy with their errors.

Honestly,  ? what bullpen option do you trust ?  give Ryan the 6th, Arm not gonna fall off

I think it's better to get a fresh arm out there since Ryan has been giving up baserunners, I foresee him leaving a couple guys on if he starts the 6th.

I think that's the logical thing to do, but those logical decisions that Rocco has been making haven't been working out.  I say let Ryan go out there for one more and have... Stewart? be the next guy up?  I'm looking at the options based on the pitch totals this week and thats the best I got.

Call me crazy, but does Bremer's play by play ever seem a split second ahead of the what the viewer sees? Like on that double steal I swear he said, "Castro is going to score" a fraction of a second before it was obvious he was going to be safe. Once in a while it seems like this happens on a foul ball. "Fouled back" he'll say the same exact time there's contact made.

Or as I said call me crazy.

I've noticed that before. It doesn't happen all the time, but enough to notice. Strange.

Once a pitcher has faced the required 3 hitters, there is nothing in the rules that states the reliever has to give up a run or more.

Maybe he’s watching Gameday….always a hitter or two ahead of the radio feed and at least 4-5 pitches ahead of the tv?
