We’re not watching a good baseball team.

They tried to fool me with the ol’ Minnesota sports team “win your first x games” thing. But I’ve been around too long for that.

Fun fact: The ESPN Gamecast has always been slow. I heard here the MLB app Gameday is way faster. Sadly it's true

Aw nah they're good, the question is if they are really good

Not sure why Rocco doesn't have Polanco bunting in that situation.

I’m sure he hasn’t done much bunting during his rehab. That’s all I could think of

Game day showed the final pitch as a sinker up and in. Miranda takes a hack at that with the game on the line. He is really struggling. If Farmer was healthy I would send him to St  Paul to regain some confidence.

Now under 500 against all teams not named Royals.

Need a jump start somehow.

Thought we had one in that first game against the Yanks.  But I was mistaken (the 11 run outburst against Boston notwithstanding).

And I really don’t want to hear about “it’s just April “ or whatever. There’s something broken with the way this team is both managed and the way they play the game. These p*****-away games are really going sting later in the season.

I didn't get to watch, but looking at the log, why wouldn't Jorge bunt?  I get not wanting to pay for the tie, but a successful sacrifice bunt puts the winning run at 2nd with 1 out.

The pitching was really good again. I mean it would've been outstanding if Jax had held tight. The hitting not so much. To say they aren't trying or pissing it away, c'mon now. They tried and they lost. It happens.

They need a hitting coach who can actually get through to them.  Popkins apparently can't, at least not yet.

Same kind of cr** we saw from this offense most of the past few seasons.  And it's getting tougher and tougher to watch with each passing game.

It is time for Rocco to go. Another poorly managed game. Instead of Lopez in the 8th, he wastes him in the ninth. Doesn't he realize that Gordon is only hitting .109. Why not Solano. Polanco should have been sacrificing in the ninth. Everyone on this team should know how to bunt. It should be a fundamental that is executed by all (OK most) professional players. If he gets runners to 2nd and 3rd, infield comes in and double play is off the table.

Is James Rowson available?

40-man issues may dictate the timing, but as soon as Wallner is eligible to be brought back up, midweek, I'd think about sending Miranda to St Paul and let Rocco sort out how to cover all the positions until Miranda shows signs of life with the bat.

Words cannot adequately describe how disgusted I am with this team's play most of the past couple of weeks or so.

Good thing they have a winning record then.  I'm excited.

Yeah last year he did pretty well with the shortest demotion in baseball history, lol. Might be a good idea.

It always sucks to lose a winnable game, especially against a rebuilding club. A couple of weeks ago many would be happy and surprised to be 11-9.

Unfortunately, with Farmer out they don't have anyone else who can play third on a daily basis. But I concur that Miranda needs to start showing something.... anything....
