Why the dislike? He was a very solid pitcher for Cincinnati, especially for pitching in a very hitter friendly park.  I can understand not liking the trade but I just don't understand the actively rooting against Twins players.

Mahle looks fine to me so far this year. There’s going to be bad starts. If they involve Mahle too often, there will be options.

And on another note, if this is the 2023 standard for a bad outing, it’s going to be a good year. A major league lineup would probably be winning this game…or at least have a very good chance.

I don't know how Rocco ranks his relievers, but why not bring in Pagan now to face the bottom of the order?  I personally have more confidence in Alcala when the top of the order is coming.

Concur. One run separates this box score line from a Quality Start.  Pretty thin line for making rotation judgments from.

Lesser of 2 evils?  Just get rid of the predicament and manage with the best you got or can acquire.  Nobody can convince me that Pagan is the best reliever available for the Twins.
