Ultima Ratio Verified Member Posted May 9, 2013 Posted May 9, 2013 We need to get an OUT here. Don't let the Sox back in.You're thinking we need to get Perkins up?
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted May 9, 2013 Posted May 9, 2013 Baserunning issues for Willingham, Doumit, and Plouffe. Doesn't take a genius to see who gets the brunt of that problem.... Hicks?
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 9, 2013 Posted May 9, 2013 You're thinking we need to get Perkins up? Don't be silly. Wait another baserunner at least.
glunn Community Moderator Posted May 9, 2013 Posted May 9, 2013 You're thinking we need to get Perkins up? I'm thinking that someone should be warming up in case Duensing gives up much more.
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted May 9, 2013 Posted May 9, 2013 Would like to see a little more chalant on that catch there, Hicksie.
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 9, 2013 Posted May 9, 2013 "The fans like to see a lot of scoring, and ladies and gentlemen, we have assembled a pitching staff to please the fans."
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 9, 2013 Posted May 9, 2013 Carrollsie got off the schneid. Now it's Hammer's turn.
glunn Community Moderator Posted May 9, 2013 Posted May 9, 2013 Now let's get those insurance runs. Hammer time!
Ultima Ratio Verified Member Posted May 9, 2013 Posted May 9, 2013 Hammer: "F that, I'm not getting out the way. Not even going to try."
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted May 9, 2013 Posted May 9, 2013 Now let's get those insurance runs. Hammer time! Should I read much into the fact I'm all for insurance runs in a game in which we've put 2 touchdowns on the board? Prolly I'm overreacting, right?
Ultima Ratio Verified Member Posted May 9, 2013 Posted May 9, 2013 Morneausie swinging for the grand cheeser
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 9, 2013 Posted May 9, 2013 Hammer: "F that, I'm not getting out the way. Not even going to try." So, now do we shift Doumit from DH to left for defensive purposes?
glunn Community Moderator Posted May 9, 2013 Posted May 9, 2013 I am glad for that insurance run. Another would be nice.
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 9, 2013 Posted May 9, 2013 Morneausie swinging for the grand cheeser Baseball should be fun.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 9, 2013 Posted May 9, 2013 I just checked the box score and I realize just how early it still is. Carroll was well over .300, but two hitless games put him under .250 (Carroll got a hit). Plouffe raised his OPS over .800, Doumit with two good games is up to .247 with an OPS of .720 and Hernandez has seen his ERA balloon to 5.96.

Prolly I'm overreacting, right? Remember that game in Oakland years ago when the Twins were up by more than 10 and ended up losing?
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 9, 2013 Posted May 9, 2013 I just checked the box score and I realize just how early it still is. Talkin' season, not game, right? Or are you predicting extra innings?
big dog Verified Member Posted May 9, 2013 Posted May 9, 2013 So tomorrow, I say we bunt at Ciriaco about 15 times in a row. Then in the second inning we'll try something else.
Physics Guy Verified Member Posted May 9, 2013 Posted May 9, 2013 Anybody else think Morneau can't stay on a ball to save his life. He's been so pull-happy this year. He's trying to hit balls on the outside corner to RF.
Ultima Ratio Verified Member Posted May 9, 2013 Posted May 9, 2013 Plouffe has got to protect. The book on him will continue to be down and away. Takes way too many called third fastballs. Yes, it was a ball, but too close to let go. Hope he starts fighting like a Carroll AB, rather than watching strike 3.

Having a 5.96 ERA will be a happy memory by years end for that toad
Physics Guy Verified Member Posted May 9, 2013 Posted May 9, 2013 15 runs is awesome, but this game is dragging on forever. Pushing four hours now.

one_eyed_jack Verified Member Posted May 9, 2013 Posted May 9, 2013 Remember that game in Oakland years ago when the Twins were up by more than 10 and ended up losing? ---I think I do remember that game. If I remember correctly (which I may well not), Blackburn played a huge role in coughing up that lead. Wasn't that also the game we got hosed big time when Cuddyer was called out at home when he was safe and it wasn't even close, I think he his foot has slid all the way across the plate before he was tagged?
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 9, 2013 Posted May 9, 2013 Uh, because I'm super young? That must be it, yeah. i wasn't thinking... I'm off my game as well... I should have said that I'm like your George Burns. Say Goodnight Ashbury!
one_eyed_jack Verified Member Posted May 9, 2013 Posted May 9, 2013 I can't believe this game is still going on. Save some of these runs for tomorrow, boys - we'll need 'em.
