Such awful baseball. A fricken flyball from Gordon or Sanchez is all that's needed.

That would be way too easy, because we seemingly don't believe in doing anything the easy way.

Gawd I hate the new rule at the plate. I don’t think any umpires know how to interpret it correctly, but not only that, it just mucks up the game. For over 120 years, the game has been just fine, I know Fosse and Posey, but speaking as an old catcher this was a solution that came about when there wasn’t a problem.

Cave should not have been sent btw

Especially when you should be able to make contact with this RP.  If it's Hader in his prime, then it's always a possibility of stranding the runner or causing the weak groundball.

Even though it's likely not absolutely true, it sure seems that way!

The last one I can remember that went our way was Game 163 in 2009.

Eh, if I'm managing, we put the contact play on almost every time with 1 out.

With Celestino due up, EVERY time.

Fulmer fools nobody. Mahle gets crushed. Lopez is full contact.

No doubt we needed pitching.

Identification is very suspect from all angles.

We are getting the overvalued pitchers that other teams are willing to give up.

Hard to legislate athletic ability or instinct.

Someone please put that computer of Roco’s where the sun don’t shine!

The Sox love to hit against Fulmer. And do. Was a really formulaic choice to pitch, here. Why not Jax for a second inning? 8 itches too many? Not in the plan pre-game?

Makes no sense to pull him there. Or to pull Bundy after 5 in that case.
