RickOShea Verified Member Posted September 4, 2022 Posted September 4, 2022 I agree, but it has to be with a short leash. These guys got to know sometimes they may have to extend. By the same token he has to continue bases solely on performance.
rwilfong86 Verified Member Posted September 4, 2022 Posted September 4, 2022 I hate contact plays. More often than not it seems the runner is a dead duck at the plate
RickOShea Verified Member Posted September 4, 2022 Posted September 4, 2022 He blocked the plate!!!!!!!!!!No sliding lane!!!!!!!!Unbelievable/1111111Non-acceptable!!!!!

Beast Verified Member Posted September 4, 2022 Posted September 4, 2022 Not getting Cave across in that spot is flat out embarrassing. Incompetent. And, of course the Twins would get screwed on both sides of that stupid rule. They just lost a game on a less egregious plate block. And they wonder why people believe the game is rigged.
RickOShea Verified Member Posted September 4, 2022 Posted September 4, 2022 Is it still illegal for the runner to spike the catcher in the face?
tony&rodney Verified Member Posted September 4, 2022 Posted September 4, 2022 Worth the challenge but there was a meeting in NYC after the several debacles a few weeks back and those calls won't be repeated any time soon with the runner clearly arriving well after the ball.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 4, 2022 Posted September 4, 2022 Run the catcher over.
RickOShea Verified Member Posted September 4, 2022 Posted September 4, 2022 So is buttermaker letting Bundy start the 6th?

Calling a contact play in that spot is dumb. They would have been better off going for a suicide squeeze with Gordon.

Even though I couldn't see the play, I'm not surprised we lost that challenge. Seems to me we usually get the short end of the stick whenever the powers that be in the league office get involved.
rwilfong86 Verified Member Posted September 4, 2022 Posted September 4, 2022 What are the odds this game is 2-2 by the end of the 6th?
RickOShea Verified Member Posted September 4, 2022 Posted September 4, 2022 Things involving the Twins are so bizarre, yet still predictable.

RickOShea Verified Member Posted September 4, 2022 Posted September 4, 2022 Has Jax had more than 1 or 2 clean innings?
tony&rodney Verified Member Posted September 4, 2022 Posted September 4, 2022 Cave going straight into Grandal may have caused an issue (or injury), but it just doesn't make any sense to call the runner safe in that situation. The Twins were on the wrong side of a call with Toronto, it happens. Hard to believe that Gordon cannot bunt, but if he did the Twins might just DFA him immediately.

USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 4, 2022 Posted September 4, 2022 Such awful baseball. A fricken flyball from Gordon or Sanchez is all that's needed.

rwilfong86 Verified Member Posted September 4, 2022 Posted September 4, 2022 5-4-3. We'll take it. Jax threw 7 pitches, I wonder if Rocco pulls him?

RickOShea Verified Member Posted September 4, 2022 Posted September 4, 2022 Still don't trust Jax, despite the DP.
