h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted September 3, 2022 Posted September 3, 2022 The good news is..... we still have 24 outs left.
rwilfong86 Verified Member Posted September 3, 2022 Posted September 3, 2022 Just turned the game on then immediately turned it off. Last night's implosion may have been the final nail in the coffin of playoff hopes.
AussieG Verified Member Posted September 3, 2022 Posted September 3, 2022 If Mahle can put up a few 0's, surely we can score 5+ runs
Tlaker Verified Member Posted September 3, 2022 Posted September 3, 2022 I just can’t sit through this again tonight

He improved (we thought, or perhaps think) the starting rotation. But he was just off the IL, in Cincy, damaged, and I see him as a 4-5 ERA mediocre pitcher. Some loved to say ballpark and visiting splits, but I never liked him since his wildness broke Buxton's hand. We had to get something, and we probably paid too much. But the guys have to make more "right" choices. Everybody guesses the future, but our guys are not doing so well. The tragedy was the FO had us in the position that we had to settle for the best of the rest since last off season, and had to overpay for it. I was ambivalent as far as the acquisition being Mahle. I wanted better than Mahle, for sure, all year, and at the deadline.

AussieG Verified Member Posted September 3, 2022 Posted September 3, 2022 Mahle still around 88-90mph

Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted September 3, 2022 Posted September 3, 2022 No Twins coach or advisor looked at Mahle’s bullpens and said, “he’s not ready”?

Wyotwinsfan Verified Member Posted September 3, 2022 Posted September 3, 2022 I can’t watch tonight but checking on Gameday, Mahle looks like he has lost his velocity again. Is this true?
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted September 3, 2022 Posted September 3, 2022 There went Cease's perfect game. No-hitter in tact. Minimum batters faced.

I missed all the crap that happened. However I am thrilled to hear Provus on my TV.

Is this true? He started the game around 93mph, though quickly dropped down to about 89, I've seen a few at 87 but that could of been the splitter

It's actually Cory Provus doing the game on Fox with A.J. tonight. Provus is pretty damn good. I can see him taking over for Bremer, when Dickie decides to retire. Don't know how long I'll be able to stomach a Sox beat down, so if they keep piling on, I may bug out early to watch Svengoolie.

AussieG Verified Member Posted September 4, 2022 Posted September 4, 2022 Are Winder, Ober and Dobnak returning this month?
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted September 4, 2022 Posted September 4, 2022 The Rays shutting out the Yankees again tonight, however that game is still in progress. last thing we need is a Yankees team steaming hot mad and waiting to take some frustrations out on the next team they play (which is the Twins, next week)
Game7-91 Verified Member Posted September 4, 2022 Posted September 4, 2022 Another SP going down....what to say? Well, some truly amazing news, TBR leading NYY 2-0 bottom of the 6th. When was the last time NYY scored a run against TBR? Could it be down to a 4 game lead in East. And Toronto, and Baltimore for that matter, are not out of it either......amazing.

They always do. It's Tradition.
