USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 11, 2022 Posted August 11, 2022 Jax manages to somehow hit Joey Gallo's bat.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2022 Posted August 11, 2022 Joey Gallo absolutely owns the twins, and no one else. my goodness.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted August 11, 2022 Posted August 11, 2022 I guess the Twins didn’t like my plan of letting Sonny Gray pitch 7 innings and then using Lopez and Duran for the 8th and 9th
RpR Verified Member Posted August 11, 2022 Posted August 11, 2022 Celestino does not strike out , Twins score runs; Celestino catches the ball, Gallo does not come up.
Parfigliano Verified Member Posted August 11, 2022 Posted August 11, 2022 On the bright side I can cross Dodger Stadium off the list to see

I bet Gordon is boiling for being pulled for Celestino. Celestino was horrible in the field last night, too.

All the new stuff in center from the 2020 renovation. Plus the museum in the loge level. Bobble head display in left center.
ashbury Verified Member Posted August 11, 2022 Posted August 11, 2022 I've never been much on the Griffin Jax bandwagon. Solid citizen; no evidence he will be a difference maker, regardless of the role he's given.
RickOShea Verified Member Posted August 11, 2022 Posted August 11, 2022 Just got home. Can anyone fill me in on Buxton? Play, not play, IL, recess time?
RickOShea Verified Member Posted August 11, 2022 Posted August 11, 2022 (knock, knock, knock) Hello/ Is this thing on?
RpR Verified Member Posted August 11, 2022 Posted August 11, 2022 Why do I feel that there are wild card teams hoping they play Minn. in the play-offs?

h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2022 Posted August 11, 2022 Looking back at the video highlight of Celestino batting with the bases loaded...... the 3-2 pitch from Vesia was right down the middle like Jax's was to Gallo, only at 95 instead of 97. Two totally different results. Our hitters make mistakes look like good pitches, and our pitcher's mistakes are crushed. Just another example.

h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2022 Posted August 11, 2022 3 errors tonight, and 2 last night, and those were just the one that were scored errors. This team is just not able to perform under pressure.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted August 11, 2022 Posted August 11, 2022 Arraez extends the game with a two out hit (yay Arraez) but that just gives Dodgers fans one more chance to boo Jeter I mean Correa

h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2022 Posted August 11, 2022 32-10 Dogers sweep 4 game series. Ouch.

Well I couldn't disagree more. It matters. Whether they win or lose an individual game might not depend on any single player. Whether they win or lose over time absolutely is affected by whether they have better players than the opposition.
RickOShea Verified Member Posted August 11, 2022 Posted August 11, 2022 Jax' MO= High leverage, late game situation equals gopher ball.
RickOShea Verified Member Posted August 11, 2022 Posted August 11, 2022 I hope Jax is more reliable and doesn't choke on his military maneuvers.
RickOShea Verified Member Posted August 11, 2022 Posted August 11, 2022 After the game Baldelli yelled out to his players "We're all going to disneyland"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
RickOShea Verified Member Posted August 11, 2022 Posted August 11, 2022 If we play the Dodgers 10 times, the Twins may win 1 or 2. I would edit that: If we play the Dodgers 10,000,000,000,000,000,000 the Twins may win 1or 2 times.

I don't think his playing in the ASG affected his playing time going forward, except that he missed the Detroit series due to postponing the PRP injection. I think he aggravated, or worsened, the knee during the Milwaukee or San Diego series with that awkward swing. It sucks not having him out there, but obviously he is nowhere near 100% and is trying to play through it. Eventually he will be shut down and the teams season will go with him.
