Twins signed him to a minor league deal. he was released by KC recently. He had good stats at AAA Omaha this season. Peacock was a decent reliever and sometimes starter for Hou a few years ago. Can't be any worse than some of the stiffs we currently have. I guess we'll see.

Very odd.  Yes, good numbers at AAA, and the Royals themselves don't exactly have an all-star caliber pitching staff; I can spot at least one guy on their 40-man whom I would DFA without a moment's hesitation, in order to make room if need be.  Why did they not give him a shot?

You would think that KC would've given him a look. They could use pitching help just like a lot of teams. Hopefully, this isn't the ONLY move the Twins make.

They had to make a lot of roster moves when they went to Toronto since half their team was un-vaccinated.

This is HUGE! He's a two-way pitcher...can start AND relieve. Twins solved all their problems with one key signing and now just have to let him adjust a bit in St. Paul.

Start printing those playoff tickets on Monday!

Twins seem to love to sign guys that played on the cheatin' Astros' team. Gonzales, Correa, and now Peacock.

When the Twins don't make big deals at deadline the FO can mention this signee.

There was likely no gain for a tanking team. At best the get organization depth as a return.

I'm certainly ready to let Cano finish the season in the minors, for one. I don't need to see Minaya again. Peacock, my cousin Arnie who played one year in college, whoever. We certainly need better relievers, but based on all the calls to see if there's anyone in Wichita I don't think this is a bad pickup. I doubt if the front office is thinking that they got Peacock, no need to try and trade for Robertson.
